(Minghui.org) On the same day that the Daqing police arrested 17 Falun Gong practitioners on a list of targeted individuals, the police in Harbin City also arrested at least another 40 practitioners in a series of planned arrests.
Daqing and Harbin are two major cities located 92 miles apart in Heilongjiang Province.
According to inside sources, the Heilongjiang police have been gathering information on more than 1,000 Falun Gong practitioners by monitoring their cellphones and/or their communication on social media.
Similar to the arrests in Daqing, most of the practitioners in Harbin were arrested early in the morning of November 9, 2018, before they went to work. The police ransacked their homes, confiscated Falun Gong books and other related materials, and computers. Some practitioners have been transferred to detention centers.
