(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners from the Boston area spent Sunday, October 21 at Copley Square raising awareness about the ongoing persecution of the practice in China. They put up posters with information on how practitioners in China are persecuted and tortured by the Chinese communist regime. They also demonstrated the slow-moving Falun Dafa exercises, handed out fliers and talked with passersby.
Many people showed their support for the practitioners’ efforts after learning about the 19-year-long persecution and signed a petition calling for an end to the atrocities taking place in China. They condemned the persecution and demanded that the Chinese regime end it immediately.

Passersby read posters about Falun Dafa and the persecution and talk to practitioners.
Four tourists talked with a practitioner and learned about the principles of Falun Dafa– Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance – and the health benefits of the practice. The practitioner also explained why former Chinese leader Jiang Zemin ordered the persecution in 1999. When the tourists learned about how practitioners are subjected to forced organ harvesting for enormous profit by the regime, they signed the petition without hesitation.
A local student who knew nothing about the persecution took photos of the posters. He wanted to read more on the posters later and share them on social media. He was astounded that the systematic state-sanctioned organ harvesting is taking place in the 21st century. The student signed the petition and took additional literature with him. Before he left, he thanked the practitioner for providing such important information.
An immigrant from Thailand had heard about the persecution when she was in California two years ago. She wondered why the Chinese authorities wanted to harvest practitioners' organs while they were still alive. After a practitioner explained to her what Falun Dafa is and answered all her questions, she signed the petition and took more information with her before she left.
