(Minghui.org) Officers from Anwai Police Station in Beijing broke into Ms. Zhou Jing’s home after midnight. Ms. Zhou, a Falun Dafa practitioner, filed complaints against the police with the court, the procuratorate, and the appeals office, but she was given the runaround.
The police went to her home on October 11, 2017, at 3 a.m. They were unsuccessful at sneaking in the front door, so they broke in through a window by cutting the screen, breaking the window frame and handle, and shattering the glass.
The 41-year-old Ms. Zhou was awakened by the intrusion and frightened. The police ransacked her home without showing any identification or a warrant.
Ms. Zhou went to talk with officer Yang Weidong on October 16, 2017. She asked for an apology and payment for the damages to her home. In response, she was threatened.
Ms. Zhou filed charges against Yang in the Dongcheng District Court on December 21, 2017. The judge who met with her said, “This is Falun Dafa-related. You need to go to the procuratorate.”
Ms. Zhou then went to the Dongcheng District Appeals Office where she was told: “The appeals office does not deal with this matter. We need to transfer it to the Dongcheng Police Branch Department. It would better for you to go there yourself.”
At the end of 2017, Ms. Zhou visited the Dongcheng District Procuratorate. They directed her to the Discipline Office of Dongcheng Police Branch Office. An officer there said, “You can stop running around now. We will take care of this.”
The agent called her in January 2018. He said, “I have talked with my manager. We cannot deal with this matter.”
When asked who his manager was, he said he could not disclose a name.
Ms. Zhou went to the Anwai Police Station and talked to the police there again in January 2018. Officer Xing Zhongyang told her that they'd reviewed the letters she had written. They said that, since she was a practitioner who followed Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, she should forget about the incident.
Ms. Zhou said, “You are persecuting good people; it would be wrong for me to forget about it.”
They did not know how to respond. They finally told her that they had talked with the 610 Office about her house repairs but were afraid to rush them.
