(Minghui.org) A native of Ha Long City, Vietnam has been detained in China for more than three months. Her family is calling for her release.
Ms. Pham Thi Thu Trang went to Maoming City, Guangdong Province to visit her relatives in October 2017 and was arrested on December 15. She was targeted after she was reported for distributing materials exposing the Chinese communist regime's persecution of Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline based on the principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance.
Her relatives said that the local police had searched their homes many times since her arrest. They haven't been allowed to see her even once.
Ms. Trang, born in 1987, is being held at the Dongxing City Domestic Security Office in Guangxi Province. It is unclear why she was moved from Guangdong to Guangxi.
Her family in Vietnam has written a letter to the local media and requested the Chinese Embassy in Hanoi to help seek her release. They haven't received any response from the embassy.
