(Minghui.org) A once-healthy woman became mentally unstable after serving a year of forced labor between 2008 and 2010. It was not until now that Minghui.org confirmed through sources that she was given toxic injections at the labor camp.

Ms. Kang Ruiqi, 70, was a grocery store manager in Changsha City, Hunan Province. She had leukemia before and regained her health after practicing Falun Gong.

After the Chinese Communist Party started persecuting Falun Gong, Ms. Kang was arrested in 2002 and sentenced to four and a half years in prison.

After her release, she was arrested again a few months later and taken to a forced labor camp for a year. When guards bundled several toothbrushes together and scrubbed inside her vagina, she almost fainted from the pain.

The police arrested Ms. Kang for the third time on August 6, 2008, in the name of “maintaining social stability” during the Beijing Olympic Games. They held her at Baimalong Forced Labor Camp for a year. After she was released, she lost the ability of rational thinking and memory. She was often dazed, spoke nonsense, and hit people for no reason.

A drug addict who was ordered by the labor camp guards to monitor Ms. Kang later revealed to another Falun Gong practitioner what had happened to Ms. Kang. According to the witness, Ms. Kang wrote a letter in the labor camp to Hu Jintao, then head of the Chinese Communist Party, to demand that he stop the persecution of Falun Gong.

After the guards found out about her letter, they grabbed her hair and hit her head against a wall. Then they gave her injections. The first one didn't have much effect on her, so the guards gave her a second shot with a higher dose. Ms. Kang became insane shortly afterward. She lost almost all her memory and would hit anyone she saw, even the guards.
