(Minghui.org) A Guangdong man’s three children, 2, 6, and 7 years old, were traumatized to see their father taken away in front of them for his faith in Falun Gong. With him being the sole breadwinner, his family, including his children, wife, and elderly parents, are now left in deep despair.
Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, is a spiritual discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.
Mr. Chen Binggui, in his 40s and a bus driver in Maoming City, Guangdong Province, was arrested on October 7, 2019 at home, after the police tracked him through surveillance cameras for handing out brochures with information about Falun Gong in Lianjiang City (about 60 miles from Maoming) days ago.
Ten police officers ransacked his home without a search warrant and confiscated his Falun Gong book, motorcycle and other personal belongings.
Mr. Chen’s parents, in their 70s, were later summoned to Meihua Town Police Station for questioning. As his father is illiterate, the police tricked him into signing a document, promising that they would release Mr. Chen afterwards. But instead of getting him back home, Mr. Chen’s family was handed his detention notice.
Mr. Chen is currently detained in Lianjiang City Detention Center. His two lawyers have visited him twice, on October 30 and November 7.
Mr. Chen told his lawyers that he was tied to a chair and interrogated for two days at Lianjiang City Police Department.
