(Minghui.org) A teacher in Linying County, Henan Province has been detained for five months for his faith in Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999. The police have been harassing his family and have refused to release him.
Mr. Liang Junde, in his 50s, was arrested on June 24, 2019 after being reported by a colleague for talking to him about Falun Gong. The police ransacked Mr. Liang's home and confiscated his printer and computer.
After one night of detention at the local police department, Mr. Liang was sent to Linying County Detention Center the next day. His family wasn't allowed to visit him or send clothing to him. Three weeks later, he was transferred to Luohe City No. 2 Detention Center, about 20 miles away.
Cao Zhenlong, the head of the Chengguan Police Station, fabricated evidence accusing Mr. Liang of passing out informational materials about Falun Gong and posting information on a utility pole, in attempts to send him to prison.
