(Minghui.org) A 78-year-old man in Wuhan City, Hubei Province is facing indictment for his faith in Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.
Since May 2018, the police have raided Mr. Wang Wenqing’s home four times and confiscated his Falun Gong books and related materials.
Mr. Wang was first taken into police custody on January 11, 2019, only a few months after his wife passed away.
He was later released on bail after the local detention center refused to admit him due to his advanced age and high blood pressure.
Three officers from Yaoji Police Station broke into Mr. Wang Wenqing’s home on November 22, 2019 and ordered him to sign an interrogation record that they had prepared. Mr. Wang refused.
The police are still attempting to submit his case to the prosecutor and pursuing prison time against him.
