(Minghui.org) A Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province resident recently recounted the torture he was subjected to while serving a 1.5-year term for not renouncing his faith in Falun Gong, a spiritual discipline being persecuted by the Chinese communist regime.
Mr. Wang Shuangmu was arrested on October 3, 2017 for filing a criminal complaint against Jiang Zemin, the former leader of the communist regime who ordered the persecution of Falun Gong in 1999.
The police ransacked Mr. Wang's home and kept him at Ganyu District Detention Center. He was later given 1.5 years and sent to Hongzehu Prison to serve time.
Prison guards Zhao Hongju, Ji Qingjun and Zhang Yuansheng took turns trying to pressure Mr. Wang to renounce his faith. When he refused, they sprayed him with water spiked with peppers, poked him with sharp pens or nails, and forced him to sit on the edge of a tiny stool for long hours each day. They also tied him up twice in a strait jacket, each time for a month.
Mr. Wang often felt numb and cold in his legs after he was released on April 2, 2019. Even though the weather is warming up, he still wears thick pants and winter shoes.
