(Minghui.org) Eleven Falun Gong practitioners from the same city, including seven in their 60s and 70s, were sentenced to prison on the same day for not renouncing their faith, a mind-body improvement discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.
The eleven practitioners, all residents of Lianyungang City, Jiangsu Province, were arrested on June 5, 2018. The police ransacked their homes and confiscated Falun Gong books, computers, cellphones and other belongings.
The practitioners were tried by a local court on November 27, 2018 and sentenced to prison during their second court appearance on March 25, 2019. All of the practitioners have filed appeals against the verdicts.
