(Minghui.org) Australian Falun Gong practitioners were invited to participate in a multicultural festival hosted by the Pakistani community in Springfield, Queensland, on April 27, 2019.
Many people were attracted to this lively celebration with its dance, music, and colorful ethnic attire.
Practitioners demonstrated the Falun Gong exercises, distributed brochures, and talked to many people about Falun Gong.
Visitors at the multicultural festival express their support for Falun Gong.
Some people had heard about the persecution of Falun Gong in China. A gentleman told a practitioner, “I saw a photo exhibition in Brisbane. The persecution is too cruel! I also signed a petition there. I hope the persecution will end soon! We all support you!”
Those who were hearing about Falun Gong for the first time appreciated practitioners' efforts to raise awareness. Many people took materials to read.
A gentleman from Tibet and his Australian wife were saddened to hear about the persecution in China.
“Thank you for giving me all this information,” the husband said. “I know about the Communist Party's persecution from personal experience. Tibetan's culture and beliefs have also been suppressed. Many temples have been destroyed. As a matter of fact, we Tibetans never asked for independence. We simply want our freedom of belief and want to keep our ethnic culture. Just because of this, the Communist regime has persecuted Tibetans. I haven't been able to see my family for 15 years. I don't know how they are doing.”
The wife said, “I have learned about the persecution from my husband's experience. I support all the innocent people persecuted by the Communist Party. I definitely support you. I hope the persecution will end soon. I hope everyone will be able to enjoy freedom and be reunited with their family.”
Practitioners were happy that so many people had a chance to learn about Falun Gong through this activity.
