(Minghui.org) I recently read Master Li’s “Fa Teaching at the 2016 New York Fa Conference,” and it gave me a lot of hope and inspiration to do better in my own cultivation and in my mission to clarify the truth.
In this lecture, Master’s tone is strict, and he expresses that he’s “extremely worried” about a lot of Dafa disciples who are not doing well and not taking their cultivation and mission seriously.
At one point, Master says:
“Others can do well, why can’t you?!” (“Fa Teaching at the 2016 New York Fa Conference”)
These words really inspired me. Really, why can’t I do well? Why not start today and hold myself to the standards of the best of the Dafa disciples? I can do it; it’s just my mindset that is holding me back. Many practitioners do the exercises every day and work hard at what they’re supposed to do, and they have already proved that it’s possible to do well and be diligent every day. Why shouldn’t I be like that too? Why not start today and do well? I know it’s possible and Master is expecting me to do well, as others have already done.
So after reading this, I’ve been doing better and holding myself to the standard of “Others can do well, why can’t you?” I have changed a lot since I read this quote, and I hope I can share this to inspire others to break out of the self-confining mindset of not believing in yourself. Master believes you can do well, and I can do well too. So let’s encourage ourselves with these words and hold ourselves to the standard that Master has given us.
This is my understanding, and I thank Master for giving me this hope and encouragement so that I can cultivate well to the end.
