(Minghui.org) The U.S. Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee held a hearing on December 16, 2020 about irregularities alleged in this year’s presidential election. This was the first hearing held by Congress since election day.
Senator Ron Johnson (R-Wis.), chairman of the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, invited a total of six witnesses to testify in the hearing.

Senator Johnson said that a large percentage of the American people doesn’t believe that the election results were legitimate and it’s “not a sustainable state of affairs in our democratic republic.” His purpose of having the hearing was to “resolve suspicions with full transparency and public awareness,” as well as to “restore the confidence in our election system.”
Senator Johnson categorized the alleged election irregularities into three kinds, including “lax enforcement or violations of election laws and controls,” “allegations of fraudulent votes and ballot stuffing,” and “corruption of voting machines and software that might be programmed to add or switch votes.”
Jesse Binnall: 130,000 Instances of Voter Fraud in Nevada
Trump lawyer Jesse Binnall at the Senate hearing
Jesse Binnall, a lawyer on President Trump’s legal team, detailed the fraud discovered in Nevada, based on “evidence from data scientists and from brave whistleblowers.”
Binnall said that Nevada state legislators rushed a special session on August 3, 2020 and adopted a bill known as AB-4, which caused the number of mail-in ballots to rocket from about 70,000 in 2016 to over 690,000 this year.
“The vulnerabilities of this statute were obvious. It provided for universal mail voting without sufficient safeguards to authenticate voters or ensure the fundamental requirement that only one ballot was sent to each legally qualified voter. This was aggravated by election officials' failure to clean known deficiencies in their voter rolls,” he said.
The invalid ballots they discovered in Nevada in the 2020 election included double votes from 42,000 people; 1,500 votes from dead people; more than 19,000 votes from out-of-state residents; about 8,000 votes from non-existent addresses; over 15,000 votes were cast from commercial addresses or addresses vacant for more than 90 days; and nearly 4,000 votes from non-citizens.
“All in all, our experts identified 130,000 unique instances of voter fraud in Nevada. But the actual number is almost certainly higher. Our data scientists made these calculations not by estimations or statistical sampling, but by analyzing and comparing the list of actual voters with other lists, most of which are publicly available. To put it simply, they explain their methods so others could check their work. Our evidence has never been refuted, only ignored,” he said.
He added that two Clark County technical employees completely independent of each other made the same discovery that “the number of votes recorded by voting machines and stored on USB drives would change between the time the polls were closed at night and when they were reopened the next morning.”
“In other words, votes were literally appearing and disappearing in the dead of night,” he said.
He also said that when they requested to verify the integrity of these voting machines, they were only allowed a visual inspection of the outside of a USB drive, which couldn’t provide any useful information. No forensic examination was granted.
Additionally, their investigation also found illegal incentives given out to marginalized voters, who would “receive raffle tickets for gift cards, televisions, and more” if they proved that they had voted.
Binnall said they’ve met with obstructions from the Clark County officials and Post Offices in their investigations. After they filed suit, state officials and courts delayed proceedings for days, before offering them merely hours to argue the case. His lawsuit in the Silver State challenging thousands of ballots was rejected on December 4.
“In wrapping up Mr. Chairman, these findings are disturbing, alarming, and unacceptable in a free society. Our free and fair election tradition is a precious treasure that we are charged with protecting. Government by the consent of the governed is hard to win and easy to lose. Every single time a fraudulent or illegal vote is cast, the vote of an honest citizen is canceled out,” Binnall concluded.
James Troupis: More than 200,000 Illegal Ballots in Wisconsin Counted
James Troupis, another lawyer on President Trump’s legal team, said they found over 200,000 illegal ballots in Wisconsin, in a recount conducted by more than 2,500 volunteers, including more than 1,000 volunteers for the democratic party candidate's campaign.
Among those illegal ballots, the first category was incomplete and altered certificates. On more than 3,000 mail-in ballots, the certificates on the front of the envelopes weren’t done exactly according to the law. They were nonetheless counted, “even though they are clearly invalid under the law,” Troupis said.
Another category of regularity was the lack of clerks’ initials on the envelopes as indicators of their having properly received the ballot and checking voter’s identification. More than 2,000 ballots in Dane County and Milwaukee County that had no initials at all were counted.
The third category was early voting. Troupis said that Wisconsin’s law didn’t allow advance voting, but it allows in-person and other absentee voting. So anything before election day is under the state’s absentee rules. But in the city of Madison, a system was created before the election, where people could go to a park and turn in their ballots in envelopes, five weeks ahead of election day. There were 17,271 such ballots.
There is another category about “indefinitely confined” people, who can vote without any identification. Such people, according to the statute, are defined “by age, physical illness or infirmity, or are disabled indefinitely.”
According to Troupis, those people who claimed to be “indefinitely confined” included an elector for the democratic party candidate, some poll workers, as well as those able-bodied who went to protests, had weddings or had vacations. There were 28,395 such cases.
The last category was about 170,000 ballots submitted without any application. Troupis said that the certification envelope was considered as the application in these ballots, even though a separate application is required by law.
Overall, he concluded that three million people properly voted in the state of Wisconsin, but more than 200,000 votes identified during the recount were illegally cast. “That in our view is a taint on our election in Wisconsin,” he said.
