(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners have been persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) for more than 20 years. Some police officers have learned the truth about Falun Dafa and chosen to not to persecute practitioners. I'd like to tell you about my encounters with three such officers.
“Please Don’t Turn in Anyone Else”
The police arrested me at my daughter’s home in the spring of 2001. They said I had passed on Master's articles to others. They took me to the police station. A domestic security division officer named Yefei (alias) came by. Seeing me alone in the room, he whispered, “Please don’t turn in anyone else.” Then he left.
Three officers from domestic security division came later to interrogate me: a manager, a political instructor, and Yefei. They all yelled at me, and Yefei was the loudest. He soon got hoarse, and he left saying that he needed some medication.
One day while I was in detention, Yefei called me out and we talked for over an hour. I told him how wonderful Falun Dafa is, the benefits I gained from it, and how it's practiced around the world. He listened attentively and did not interrupt me.
After I was released, I ran into Yefei on the street. He said he no longer worked at the domestic security division, an agency responsible for arresting practitioners. Because I was in a hurry to pick up other practitioners, we only talked for a short time.
Although we never met again, I’ve always remembered what he said: “Please don’t turn in anyone else.” During the darkest days of the persecution, I really appreciated his advice—it reminded me to remain steadfast as a practitioner. I hope we meet again. I'd like to help him renounce his membership in the CCP organizations.
A Timely Warning
When five practitioners and I were reading the teachings together in someone’s home in the fall of 2008, the police came and took us to the police station. Next, they went to my home and searched it. Seeing my cell phone and phone book on the table, one officer quickly gestured to my son to hide them. The officers left after confiscating some of my personal belongings.
The officer who gestured to my son later returned, saying that he'd accidentally left something behind. He told my son that the police knew I had distributed Master’s articles to local practitioners. They knew where I picked them up, where I distributed them, and which routes I took. He also mentioned who turned me in.
I did not give the police any information when I was interrogated and my thoughts were righteous. After I was released that evening, I went to a friend’s place and contacted my son. He told me what had happened and I immediately notified all the practitioners involved.
With that police officer's help, a major tragedy for our local practitioners was averted. Neither my son nor I knew him. But I do know he is someone who knows Falun Dafa and helps practitioners. From the depths of my heart, I sincerely wish him well.
An Officer Salutes Master
My daughter is a police officer. One day while we were out shopping, she went into a store and I waited outside in the car.
Looking out the car window, I saw a police car parked nearby and an officer in his mid 20s looking at me. As I smiled at him, he raised his hand and called out, “Long live Master Li!”
“Oh, thank you!” I replied. I smiled and said, “Have we met before?” He got out of the car, walked over, and said, “No, but the 70 or so police officers and associates in our station all know your daughter and that her mother is a Falun Dafa practitioner.”
I thanked him again and said he would be blessed for his integrity. He was already walking away but he turned back and, with his palms together in the “heshi” position, said, “Good luck to you, too!”
