(Minghui.org) Two Changsha City, Hunan Province residents are facing trial for their faith in Falun Gong, an ancient spiritual and meditation discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.
Ms. Yang Wen, 57, was stopped by the police near the Changsha Train Station on August 2, 2019. They demanded to check her ID. She was then arrested after the police found Falun Gong books and related materials in her purse.
Ms. Liu Fuchun, 55, was arrested at home on August 7, 2019. Her Falun Gong books, computer and printer were confiscated.
The two practitioners have been held at the Changsha City No. 4 Detention Center since the arrests. Their arrests were approved by the Yuelu District Procuratorate on September 12.
The Yuelu District Procuratorate forwarded the practitioners’ cases to the Wangcheng District Procuratorate on November 26, 2019. The latter then indicted the practitioners and submitted their cases to the Wangcheng District Court on January 26, 2020.
