(Minghui.org) Many practitioners feel the urgency to save more people during the Wuhan virus pandemic. To better clarify the truth to people under the current circumstances, we should emphasize the basic information, including what Falun Dafa is, and how the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has been suppressing the Chinese people, including practitioners, using deceit and violence. We should do this in a sensible way.
Focusing on Basic Truths
The basic facts cover two aspects: the beauty of Falun Dafa, and the evilness of the CCP. If we can help people fully understand these facts, they will be truly saved.
Some practitioners ask people to recite the auspicious phrases “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” without first covering these basic facts. They tell people that the phrases help drive the virus away and keep people safe. This may work for someone who has already had a positive understanding of Dafa and already believes in Dafa’s miraculous healing power. But people who believe the CCP’s propaganda and don’t have a correct understanding about Dafa to begin with may have a hard time listening to us, let alone believing these phrases.
I believe it is important to clarify why the above-mentioned phrases may help people stay safe. We could tell people that Falun Dafa is a high-level Buddha school practice and that it should never have been persecuted in the first place, then follow up and explain that reciting those phases is supporting Falun Dafa while it is being persecuted, and that their support of righteousness and humanity would bring them blessings.
Some practitioners prefer to tell people that “staying away from the CCP will make you safe from the virus” at the beginning of their conversation. This could have a negative effect if the timing was not right. It would be better to first remind people of the CCP’s evil history, and especially its cover-up of the pandemic information, as well as all of its crimes that have resulted in the loss of millions of lives during numerous political movements. After this basic truth-clarification, bringing up “staying away from the CCP” as being a good way to avoid disasters might be more acceptable to people.
The principle of mutual-generation and mutual-inhibition tells us that everything has two sides, good and bad. While the current situation provides us with good opportunities to save more people, the CCP has also intensified its propaganda campaign and spread more lies to make Chinese people rely on them more in the midst of fear. We must stick to the basic truth to counteract their lies.
Saving People with an Unmoved Heart
With virus cases outside China rapidly increasing since March, the CCP boasted China as being a safe haven and criticized other countries for doing poorly in fighting the virus. They even attempted to shift the blame by accusing other countries of spreading the virus. As a result, many Chinese held hostile attitudes and developed hatred for other counties.
This situation set the bar higher for practitioners in our truth-clarification. Not only do we need to see through the CCP lies, we should also be sensitive to people's attitudes. No matter what happens, we should keep our hearts unmoved in order to save them.
I had some bad experiences at the beginning: I became angry when people argued with me using lies from the propaganda. They considered I was favoring the U.S. and its president. I lost the opportunity to expose the CCP’s cover-up of the pandemic.
After I discovered my attachments of competitiveness, hatred, and contempt, I made efforts to abolish them. When I changed my mentality, I was no longer moved in the conversation, and my wisdom just came out naturally.
I once talked about the pandemic with a colleague, who said that the U.S. was being racist by calling the virus “Chinese Virus.” He was also disgruntled with the fact that many countries are holding China accountable, due to its cover-up and underreporting of the epidemic. I was very calm and didn’t argue with him as he was talking.
When he finished, I asked him why other countries would blame China. He replied that it was because the virus originated from China and the Chinese spread the virus to the world.
I corrected him by clarifying that other countries blamed the CCP, not the Chinese people. It was the CCP that covered up the truth and didn’t do anything to prevent the virus from spreading. I then detailed the timeline of the events from January until now, to let the facts speak for themselves, as to why the CCP should be held accountable for the pandemic.
After some thinking, he said, “The CCP has always blocked the truth. But they did not expect to blow it this time.”
I continued to tell him that the CCP did not care about its people or their lives, but only its grip on power. Everyone is a victim of the CCP, so we should hold it accountable.
This time I did not rebut my colleague’s points right away, even though he was wrong. I knew what I wanted to tell him. The truths were powerful and my logic was clear. He was convinced in the end that the CCP was laughable when it tried to play the savior role despite it being the root cause of the disaster.
