(Minghui.org) Two Falun Gong practitioners in Jingmen City, Hubei Province were arrested on April 23, 2020, for talking to people about their faith, which has been persecuted by the Chinese Communist Party since 1999. Both of them are currently held in a detention facility in Zhongxiang City.
Ms. Bai Yun and Ms. Tan were reported while talking to people near an elementary school. The police ransacked their homes around 10 p.m. that day.
According to witnesses, the police videotaped the two practitioners during the arrest. Many pedestrians gathered around the scene to see what had happened. As the practitioners were trying to explain that they didn’t violate any law in spreading information about their faith, one officer held the materials confiscated from them and said to the people nearby, “See, this is what Falun Gong is doing.”
