(Minghui.org) Nine Falun Gong practitioners in Qishan County, Shaanxi Province are scheduled to appear in the Qishan County Court on June 18, 2020.
Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, is an ancient spiritual and meditation discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.
Eight of the practitioners, including Ms. Wang Ruiqin, Ms. Cao Luxia, Ms. Hui Hui, Ms. Li Huiqin, Mr. Shao Qihu, Ms. Xu Mingxia, Mr. Jiao Binglan, and Ms. Ya Lan, were arrested by more than 30 police officers on July 10, 2019 while studying Falun Gong teachings at Ms. Li’s home.
Mr. Shen Hongqi, an appliance repair shop owner, was arrested on July 22, 2019.
While Ms. Wang, Ms. Cao, Ms. Hui, Ms. Li and Ms. Shao were later released on bail, the other five practitioners have been detained at the Qishan County Detention Center and denied family visits since their arrests.
Ms. Xu has been on a hunger strike to protest the persecution for a week and is in serious condition. The detention center has refused to release her and is planning to force-feed her.
