(Minghui.org) I am a 76-year-old farmer, and have been practicing Falun Dafa for over 20 years.
The other villagers used to have misconceptions about Falun Dafa because of the slander spread by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP). I wanted them to learn the truth about Falun Dafa.
I planted my field last spring. Everyone was putting up netting to protect the crops from the birds. My sister-in-law said I should do the same. I thought I would try a different approach that could also help people understand the power of Falun Dafa.
I purchased six feet of red cloth, and split them into two pieces. I wrote “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” on them with yellow paint. I hung them at both ends of the field.
I painted the same words “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” on four plywood boards. I nailed the boards to wooden stakes and inserted them into the ground at the other two sides of the field.
When the crops were ripe, sparrows began to perch on the netting the other villagers had put up. They could still eat the grain through the netting. I saw one neighbor using a flag to chase them away, but the sparrows just flew to another area of the field, and continued to eat. However they did not come to my field or eat any of my grain.
Later that season our area was hit by a typhoon. Heavy rain lasted for many days. Many of the villagers crops were damaged, but once again my crops were fine.
I harvested 120 pounds of grain in my 1/3 acre field, the same amount as the neighbor who had twice the acreage, and spent 57 dollars on bird netting.
The story spread throughout the village, and many nearby villages. Many came to see my crops, and were amazed. They knew it was the power of Dafa. Now they are much more receptive when I clarify the facts of Falun Dafa to them.
