(Minghui.org) The entire world has been thrown into a war zone, battling the deadly pandemic of the Wuhan coronavirus since January 2020. Millions have fallen victim and hundreds of thousands have lost their lives, not to mention the enormous social and economic devastation. With new waves of infections spreading across different regions and without an effective medical cure or fully tested vaccines, the chances of bringing it to an end anytime soon seem to be rather slim.
However, there have also been many cases in which patients recovered in ways beyond explanation by modern medical science.
As a practitioner of Falun Dafa, I have my own understanding of the reason behind their recovery and would like to share my thoughts and personal experiences.
Cause and Effect
For thousands of years before the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) took power, the Chinese people always believed in the divine. They knew things happened for a reason, including floods, droughts, and plagues. Very often, the catastrophes were attributed to consequences brought by heaven for people’s wrongdoings.
Below is a true story documented in Hanshu (The Book of Han).
It happened during the Western Han period (202 BC-9 AD) in Donghai (in today’s Shandong Province). There was a young widow named Zhou Qing, who continued to look after her mother-in-law for more than ten years after her husband passed away. Her fine character and filial piety earned her high praise from the local people.
Her mother-in-law tried to persuade her to remarry a number of times so that she could make a new life for herself, but she always refused and kept taking good care of her.
In order to relieve the burden on her kindhearted daughter-in-law, the elderly woman committed suicide by hanging herself while Zhou was out.
Zhou was heartbroken when she saw what had happened and wailed in grief. However, her sister-in-law accused her of killing her mother-in-law and reported her to the local magistrate office.
The magistrate refused to listen to Zhou’s appeal for her innocence and ordered to have her executed. Even though the local people knew she was innocent, they did not step forward to seek justice for her, except for one prison officer, who later resigned in grief when the magistrate rejected his repeated appeals for Zhou.
On the day of her execution, Zhou poured out her grievance to Heaven, saying if Heaven proved her innocence, there would be snow in June and a three-year drought.
Indeed, it snowed in June that year, and for the next three years, the region experienced a severe drought with no rain and little agricultural produce, causing devastating suffering to the locals’ livelihoods.
When the new prefecture magistrate learned about Zhou’s case from the resigned prison officer, he realized that the three-year-drought was a form of punishment for the gross injustice done to Zhou and the silence of the local people.
So, he immediately organized a memorial ceremony before Zhou’s tomb to sincerely redress her grievance and to apologize to her on behalf of the people. As he was repenting, dark clouds built up, and before the ceremony was finished, it began to pour. That year, the region had good weather for the crops, and people enjoyed prosperous and contented lives.
The prison officer who appealed for Zhou was also rewarded for his righteousness. He was held in high esteem, and his son (who also had upright character) became a high-ranking official in the imperial court, serving as chancellor at one point.
My Encounter with Gods of Plague
It is a general belief in traditional Chinese culture that plagues in the human world are controlled by corresponding gods in Heaven, who make arrangements according to human behavior. They would never allow plagues to harm people without good reason, so we hear the saying: Plagues have eyes, and how they affect people and when they come to an end depend on how people conduct themselves.
One night in late February this year, while I was busy with household chores, I noticed a god of plague in black standing in the air with a purple sack in one hand and a black mask on his face. Flames shot out the nostrils on the mask, and his eyes were red.
There were two books in the air. The golden one held the names of people who had learned the truth and withdrawn from the CCP; all of them would have a good future. The black book also had a long list of names, and these people still had a mark on their forehead, indicating that they had yet to quit the CCP; they were in great danger.
When the god of plague saw that I noticed him, he took off his mask and revealed his original appearance of a heavenly god. “Falun Dafa practitioners have been clarifying the truth to people for over 20 years now,” he said to me, “but so many still refuse to listen to the truth. You have delivered the precious truth to all those households [to bring them blessings], but how many of them truly cherish it? When people refuse to discern good from bad and their hearts turn to follow the red demon (the CCP), they bring torrents of karma to themselves, which in turn bring them pandemics.”
Just then, four more gods of plague appeared in the air, clothed in purple, blue, ochre, and green. Each wore a mask and had a sack attached to their waist. They appeared to be in a hurry and called the one who was talking with me to go with them to arrange for the spread of disease.
“I will be back,” the one who was talking with me said before he left with the others.
After they left, the spread of coronavirus in China started to subside, but it began to spread quickly overseas. According to the plan of the gods of plague, as I understood it, they would come back to China in several months.
The Second Wave
Many prophecies have been passed down from history in various cultural traditions around the world. Some from ancient China appear to bear striking relevance to the devastating pandemic we are now facing.
One book of prophecy is the Wugong sutra, believed to be written during the Northern Song period by five Bodhisattvas under instruction from Bodhisattva Guanyin (Goddess of Mercy) to warn the world's people of deadly catastrophes and to offer advice of salvation. “It would start by the river during Zi-Chou Years (2020-2021),” one line predicted, foretelling a ferocious epidemic that would break out in Wuhan by the Yangtze River.
The “Taibai Mountain Monument Inscription” by Liu Bowen (1311-1375), a sage in the Ming Dynasty who was also well-known for predicting the future, said that “One qi (epidemic pathogen) would kill millions of people.” He continued, “Of the poor people, one thousand out of ten thousand would survive, whereas only two or three out of ten thousand wealthy people would be spared.”
In fact, some people with supernormal abilities have seen the following:
The coronavirus infection is more dangerous than the SARS epidemic in 2003. It is highly contagious and difficult to prevent, as the infected may not show symptoms and the virus has a long incubation period. Another feature is that those who are pro-CCP are hit the hardest; those who have been or will be impacted are people both inside and outside of China who side with the CCP, participate in the persecution of Falun Dafa, refuse to quit the CCP and its youth organizations, keep silent in the face of the CCP's crimes against humanity, or support the CCP financially in its persecution. No one will be left out.
When the second wave of infections strikes, viruses in asymptomatic carriers will break out all at once at a specific time, as if they have received an order. Those infected may die in a day or two or even a couple of hours. No prevention or control measures will help or be available in time, and of course there will be no medicine to cure them. Just like what is described in the Wugong sutra – “Getting infected in the morning and dying at dusk… It's unbearable to see dead bodies everywhere.”
What Can We Do to Stay Safe?
Truth be told, while those prophecies warned people of catastrophes, they also offered them a way out, very often indirectly. They predicted that a “sage” would appear. Liu Bowen explained it in more detail:
Seven (七) people (人) walk in one (一) line, being guided (引) to the right (诱/右) into an opening (口); Three dots are added to a hook (勾), with eight (八) kings (王) followed by 20 (廿) mouths (口); This makes everyone happy, and they live in safety thereafter.
This is a game of taking apart the strokes in Chinese characters and rearranging them to form new ones. The first two lines of the poem say that when the characters of七 (seven), 人 (people), 一 (one), 引 (guide), and口 (mouth) are taken apart and rearranged in a certain way, they form the traditional Chinese character for truth, or truthfulness (眞). In the third line, when three dots are added to different parts of 勾and the strokes are re-arranged, the new character of forbearance (忍) takes shape. In the fourth line, when八 (eight), 王 (king), 廿 (twenty), and口(mouth) line up in a certain order, they form the character for compassion (善).
These three words, 眞(Truthfulness), 善 (Compassion), and 忍 (Forbearance), are the core principles of Falun Dafa, a meditation system that has been persecuted by the CCP since July 1999.
Master Li Hongzhi, Falun Dafa's founder, wrote a poem in the summer of 2013:
“Zhen Shan Ren—three sacred words have boundless Fa powersFalun Dafa is good—true thoughts alter all disasters”(Hong Yin IV">Hong Yin IV)
The following cases certainly shed some light on the power of truth.
A couple in Wuhan, both retired medical doctors, were infected with the coronavirus, and the wife was hospitalized in critical condition. They followed the advice of their nephew, a Falun Dafa practitioner, and sincerely recited, “Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” The husband also learned the first Falun Dafa exercise through a video his nephew sent him. Within days, he was fully recovered. “I'm well now! I feel like I was reborn! I'm extremely grateful for Master Li Hongzhi's salvation!” He said to his nephew in tears, “I will share the magic cure with others.”
Another patient who was in serious condition shared, “I had a high fever for eight days and couldn't eat anything, but I survived by reciting the two magic phrases, ‘Falun Dafa is good. Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.’ I'm fully convinced from what happened to me that if you sincerely recite these two precious phrases, or read the book Zhuan Falun, you’ll be able to pull through with protection from Falun Dafa's Master Li Hongzhi.”
In another case, coronavirus symptoms displayed by a 76-year-old woman completely disappeared within 20 hours after she started reciting the two phrases. A family of three–all infected with the virus–recovered completely by reciting the two phrases and reading Zhuan Falun.
There have been many similar stories, and people wonder why the two phrases have such a powerful effect. I believe it’s because they have embedded in them pure and righteous energy from the universe. It is said in The Yellow Emperor's Classic of Internal Medicine, “[because] the righteous essence is kept inside, no evil qi is able to cause harm.” When a person recites these two phrases with due sincerity, the righteousness from his heart would move the worlds of ten directions, in the concept of the Buddha School, and divine beings would protect the person and drive away the evil qi.
Break Away from the Evil CCP to Avoid Danger
The CCP’s tyranny and deception, shown through its behavior in exerting its social, economic, geopolitical, and military influence on a global scale, has awakened many in the international community. In particular, its concealment of vital information on the coronavirus has caused enormous human tolls, as well as social and economic devastation.
The recent “Hong Kong National Security Law” the CCP rashly implemented has made it even clearer that the regime cannot be trusted and that it stands in complete opposition to people who respect freedom, peace, fundamental human rights, ethical values, and the rule of law.
With the CCP virus (coronavirus) still raging throughout the world and the devastated economy still struggling to recover, everyone is still battling the crisis. But when there is crisis, there is also hope and opportunity.
Prophecies from ancient times offer us hints and warnings, and many people have realized that the CCP is the source of evil in this world and therefore must be removed to uphold fundamental principles and ethical values expected of humanity.
We need to embrace the universal principles of Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, abandon any wishful thinking that the CCP can still change for the better and be good to do business with, and hold the regime accountable for its crimes against humanity. Perhaps then the divine will help us pull through the ferocious pandemic we are facing today.
