(Minghui.org) Two people from the community committee came to my home recently. I let them in, but before I allowed them to speak, I said, “I have the right to refuse to let you in, right?” They said, “Yes.”
“I also have the right to refuse to speak to you, don’t I?” They agreed.
One of them then said, “I want to talk to you about Falun Gong. Let me ask you a few questions.”
“I’m not going to talk to you about this,” I replied, and reminded them that there was no legal basis for their actions and that they should follow the law. I continued, “We can chat. If you don’t want to chat, you can leave.”
I led the conversation instead of them. They seemed agitated, looked uncomfortable, and started to argue.
Last year I was arrested by Domestic Security officers, and the political commissar came to interrogate me. During interrogation I told him that I would sue him in the future. His expression immediately changed and he looked embarrassed.
He tried to defend himself, saying, “It wasn't mo arrested you. They [the Domestic Security officers] did it. I'm just here to ask you a few questions.”
In fact, he personally directed the arrest and the raid of my home that night.
Both of the above examples illustrate that those involved in the persecution of Falun Dafa are aware of their criminal and unlawful behavior. They are fearful of future lawsuits.
So why do they so often act arrogantly and aggressively? It’s because we have fear in our hearts. When we cower in fear, we indulge the evil elements to some extent. We should tell them uprightly that their harassment and arrest of Dafa practitioners is an illegal act and that they will definitely be held accountable in a court of law in the future.
I felt that it was right to refuse to answer any of their questions about Dafa. This process of questioning or interrogating is an act of persecution, and I feel that if I answer their questions I would be complying with their persecution activities.
To fundamentally deny the persecution of the old forces, we must first deny their persecution activities. In other words, the questioning of me was wrong in itself and part of the persecution of Dafa. A Dafa practitioner’s refusal to participate in such questioning or interrogation is a way to fundamentally negate the persecution by the old forces in this matter.
