(Minghui.org) I am 76 years old, and only had four years of elementary school education. But after I started to practice Falun Dafa in 1998, I could recognize all the [Chinese] characters in the Dafa books.
I initially found it difficult to concentrate when I studied the Fa and did the exercises, but through memorizing Zhuan Falun I became clear-minded and focused.
At the beginning of the persecution, I mainly distributed truth-clarification pamphlets and hung up banners. In 2008, I began to clarify the truth face-to-face and hand out DVDs. I initially didn’t dare to clarify the truth in places where a lot people gathered, but over time I overcame my attachment of fear and went to those crowded places and talked to people about Dafa.
I started to partner with another practitioner in 2010. We mainly went to bus stations or train stations to clarify the truth. We went out at 7 a.m. every day and studied the Fa in the afternoon. Our schedule was very tight.
We are especially busy in the lunar month of December. At midday, we skip lunch and find a place to send forth righteous thoughts. Then we continue to clarify the truth to people afterward. We usually don’t go home until 2:30 p.m.
We only have two days off in a year: Chinese New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day. We still persist with this schedule. No matter how bad the weather is, we’ve never stopped clarifying the truth and only think about helping Master Li (Falun Dafa’s founder) save more people.
I was clarifying the truth to a 13-year-old boy at the train station when a taxi driver tried to stop me. After he left, I continued talking to the boy, who agreed to quit the Young Pioneers, one of the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) youth organizations. I gave him an amulet before I left and then went to talk to others.
After a while, a police car drove up. Two officers got out and dragged me into their car. I was sure that the taxi driver had reported me. I was taken to the police station. One of the officers asked me, “Do you know Falun Dafa is forbidden in China?”
“Forbidden!?” I exclaimed. “Show me the law that forbids Falun Dafa. There is no legal basis for the persecution. Dafa is a righteous Fa. Is there anything wrong in practicing Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance?”
They called the director of the 610 Office. When he arrived, I recognized him because I had dealt with him before. He spoke to the officers about something and left. I then clarified the truth to the officers about the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa, the staged “self-immolation” in Tiananmen Square, the harmful political movements that the CCP had launched, the CCP’s state-sanctioned live organ harvesting from Dafa practitioners, and the movement of suing Jiang Zemin (former head of the CCP).
Finally, one of them said, “If you want to talk about Falun Dafa, don’t do it at the train station, because it’s in our area.”
“But there are more people there,” I replied. “We just want to save more people. If somebody reports us, you just tell them you don’t manage Falun Dafa issues. You need to leave a way out for yourselves.”
They understood what I was saying and agreed to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations. Before I left, I told the officers to remember, “Falun Dafa is good!” They smiled.
I only stayed in the police station for half an hour before returning to the train station. I saw the driver who reported me, and he looked embarrassed. I walked over to him and said, “Young man, I don’t hate you. I only feel pity that you still don’t understand the truth about Falun Dafa. If you did, even if somebody asked you to report me, you wouldn't do it.”
I clarified the truth to him, and he agreed to quit the CCP. I further told him, “Remember not to do bad things. We are saving people. You need to follow the will of Heaven, only then can you safeguard yourself.”
He was moved, and shouted out, “Falun Dafa is good!”
What I have done is far from enough. I will be more diligent and follow Master to return home!
