(Minghui.org) When I was stuck at home last November, I started to make truth-clarification materials. As I was watching the printer and feeding paper, I used the waiting time in between to read some news online.
It was right after the U.S. election and the news was heavily lopsided in favor of one of the candidates. I felt I had so much to say about it. So I sat down in front of the keyboard and my fingers began flying. I checked for typos afterward and it read smoothly. A title appeared in my head so I wrote it down and sent it out to Minghui.
I regretted it as soon as I sent it out. I felt ashamed since it sounded like a speech given by a government official.
When the article was published two days later, I didn't recognize it at first. It looked familiar but I noticed that there were many changes to the article. It was like a potted plant, which the Minghui editor had trimmed and straightened out. I looked at the changes carefully and noted that the edits were made in places where Party culture was present – exactly what I needed to cultivate away.
I was encouraged to write more sharing articles. I realized that as long as it was my real cultivation experience, I didn’t need flowery language to dress it up.
What's important is not whether it is published or not, but whether I can let go of my self in the process. Whether an article is published is decided by Master. If we overthink it, maybe our heart will block us from writing an excellent sharing article.
I have seen many fellow practitioners who cultivate themselves and clarify the facts very diligently, but who hesitate whenever asked to write sharing articles. Their fear has impeded them. As long as they can share their stories with others, they should try to write it out. With the call for submissions to commenmorate World Falun Dafa Day 2021, I urge us not to miss this opportunity to validate Dafa.
