(Minghui.org) Almost everyone wants his or her wishes to come true. But as reality often proves, this is not the case.

In ancient China, people believed in harmonization between heaven, earth, and mankind. That is, when a person embraces virtue and treats others well, he or she will be blessed with health and prosperity.

Such a belief has continued for thousands of years, and for good reason, it seems. As seen in the examples below, from ancient times to modern society, blessings often go to those who follow their conscience.

Generosity and Faith

Lu Mengsheng, a senior officer in the Song Dynasty, used to serve emperors as a chancellor. He grew up in a poor family, but maintained a high caliber of morality and was very generous.

One day after he was promoted to vice chancellor, an officer was overheard saying, “How could this guy be qualified to be vice chancellor?”

Other suggested that Lu find out that officer’s name and rank, but he dismissed their concerns.

“If I knew his name, I would probably remember it my whole life. I’d better let it go,” he said.

Lu was able to fulfill his duty diligently and treat others well because of his belief in Buddhism. Every morning, he prayed that his family and descendants would all cherish the Buddha scripture and become accomplished people.

As Lu had expected, his son Lu Yijian became a chancellor and his other son Lu Jujian also became a high officer.

Kind People Are Blessed

In the 25th year of Emperor Qianlong's reign in the Qing Dynasty, a poor person named Li Fu went to the capital city of Beijing to work. He was 40 and had a 5-year-old son. After working hard and making 20 taels of silver, he went back home.

When he was tired, Li stopped at a hut by the roadside. There was an old woman who was taking care of a sick child in bed. The woman looked very sad.

When he asked what happened, the woman said, “My only grandson is ill and the doctor prescribed ginseng soup. It costs two taels of silver, but I cannot afford that.”

Without hesitation, Li took out his hard-earned money and helped the woman.

Upon arriving home, Li saw that his own son was in bed, as if he were just recovering from a severe illness.

“The child had an incurable disease,” his wife said. “One night, we dreamed that his grandma came and gave him ginseng soup. Then he recovered.”

Li asked his wife when this dream happened, and found that it occurred the same night he gave the money to the old woman.

Li opened his own bag. All 20 taels of silver were still there. He immediately recognized this as a blessing from the divine for his kindness.

Helping the Innocent

When Falun Gong practitioners were suppressed in China for their faith in Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, officials who supported their righteous beliefs were often blessed.

One report from Minghui described a story in which a practitioner went to Beijing in January 2000 to appeal for Falun Gong. Although he was arrested by the county's domestic security bureau, a deputy director of the township police station decided to downplay this case. A woman police officer also offered to be the guarantor for his release.

This allowed the practitioner to return home the same day. Shortly after this, the deputy director became a director. Later on, he was promoted to Party secretary for the township and then Party secretary for the Political and Legal Affairs Committee (PLAC). One day, a practitioner told him the facts about Falun Gong and the CCP’s brutality, and the now-secretary agreed to break away from the regime.

In another example, police in one region monitored Falun Gong practitioners’ cell phones and arrested practitioners. One practitioner told the deputy director of the State Security Bureau the facts of Falun Gong and asked him not to persecute the innocent. Since then, officer did not participate in the persecution. He was later promoted to director and then to police chief in another city.

In 2015, lots of practitioners filed criminal complaints against former CCP leader Jiang Zemin for persecuting Falun Gong. A large number of practitioners were arrested across cities and provinces for their complaints. No practitioner was arrested in the city that this police chief was in charge of.

Insurance for One’s Future

A major chemical explosion happened in the Binhai New District of Tianjin on August 12, 2015. Thousands of households were affected, with a police compound completely destroyed. Hundreds of firefighters also lost their lives.

One businessman was able to miraculously survive the accident. On that day, this person was staying at a hotel near Ruihai International Logistics Company in the area. A phone call came, saying his one-year-old did not feel good and needed to see a doctor. The man hung up phone call with his wife and returned home. But the boy was all right by the time father arrived home. The couple learned the following day that the chemical warehouse exploded about one hour after the man left the hotel.

When sharing the miracle with his friends, this man said it was due to a decision he made several months earlier. During a celebration in March, when his son was one month old, one of his father’s friends told him the facts of Falun Gong and the CCP’s track record of brutality.

“The CCP is doomed for the sin it has committed. By quitting the regime, you could be blessed for a better future,” said the friend.

The man accepted this friend's advice and quit the CCP organizations.

The Nine Magic Words

Below is another true story recently published on Minghui. A woman recently visited her neighbor, a Falun Gong practitioner in northeastern China. Due to cancer, this woman was in great pain. After chemotherapy, she lost half of her hair, making her even more stressed.

The practitioner talked about the physical and spiritual benefits of Falun Gong, along with the massive hate-filled propaganda and brutal persecution by the CCP.

“There are many miracles for those who practice Falun Gong or support the innocent practitioners,” said the practitioner, “Why not try memorizing the phrases ‘Falun Dafa is good’ and ‘Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good’?”

Falun Gong is also known as Falun Dafa, and these two phrases were also known as the nine magic words. That is, “Falun Dafa is good” (Fa Lun Da Fa hao) “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” (Zhen Shan Ren hao).

The neighbor accepted her advice and left. After some time, she came back in high spirits.

“You know what? A re-examination at the hospital showed that my cancer disappeared!” she said. Not only did she continue to recite the magic words, she also recommended them to her husband.

The husband was a retired police station director who had suppressed Falun Gong practitioners in the past. With diabetes and other diseases himself, his wife's cancer made for a perfect storm. Now, the husband recites these words with his wife every day. His health has also improved, and his family is happy.

There is a saying that heaven helps those who help themselves. When we genuinely want to be better people and help others, our sincerity and kindness will be rewarded.
