(Minghui.org) The human world is full of delusions. It is hard to discern what is real from what we see with our eyes from everyday people’s perspectives.

Master Li, the founder of Falun Dafa, tells us, “Amidst truth and falsehood, enlightening is important.” (“Enlightenment,” Essentials for Further Advancement)

When the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) first began to persecute Falun Gong in 1999, I went to Beijing to speak up for the practice. I opened up a Falun Gong banner on Tiananmen Square. Two plainclothes officers snatched it away from me immediately. Then I turned around and saw two very short men running towards me. They were only about a foot tall. I was amazed and just stared at them calmly.

In fact, they were only a couple of steps away from me but just kept running and running and couldn’t reach me. I looked at them for a long while. Then all of a sudden, I realized, “Oh, they are here to arrest me.” As soon as I thought that, they were immediately restored to their normal size. They rushed over and arrested me.

I often thought about that event later and always asked myself why it was like that. As I studied the Fa more, I gradually understood that I was fooled by everyday society’s delusions.

Just as Master says,

“Everything in your dimensional field is controlled by the thoughts in your brain. In other words, when you look at things with your Third Eye, if you calmly observe with no thoughts added in, what you see is real. But as soon as you use your mind, even if it’s just a little bit, everything you see will be false, and this is “breeding demons in your own mind,” which is also called “transforming according to thoughts.”” (Lecture Six, Zhuan Falun, 2003 Translation Version)

At first, I did not use any human notions. The two policemen were indeed short in another dimension. Because we were in different dimensions, they could not reach me even though they were running very fast. If I could have understood Master’s hint, they would not have been able to touch me.

When my human notions surfaced, I went back to the everyday people’s dimension. Everything follows where our mind is. The difference between being a human and being a god is human notions versus righteous thoughts.

Master says,

“As I've said, everything that happens today in the ordinary society is the result of Dafa disciples' thoughts.” (“Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Philadelphia, U.S.A.,” Collected Fa Teachings, Vol. II)

Looking at the current situations, many were caused by our own notions. Over the past 20 years, we cultivators have experienced a lot, and we often put ourselves in the position of being persecuted.

We are used to interfering with things with our human notions and human thoughts, such as, “If the perpetrators knock on my door, what should I do? How should I handle them?” Where do these negative thoughts lead us? If one person thinks like this, it might not have any consequences. But if many practitioners think this way, what kind of field will be created?

Master says,

“I’ll give you an example. In Buddhism they say that everything in the world is an illusion, that it’s not real. But how’s it an illusion? Who’d say those real, material things right there in front of you are fake, right? The form that material things exist in is one way, while the form they manifest in, it turns out, is different.” (Lecture Two, Zhuan Falun, 2003 Translation Version)

Everything in the human world has something to do with us practitioners and could change along with our mindsets. If every practitioner’s thought is always righteous, it will be very hard for the evil to have its way.

When the forced labor camp system was disintegrated in 2013, a practitioner in my area was released. Then the police substation called her and ordered her to report to them often. Her husband (also a practitioner) said, “I will go with you because I was just about to ask them why they put you into forced labor camp to begin with and why they put me in the brainwashing center. I will tell them that they violated the law. I will also tell them the truth about Falun Dafa.”

The husband practitioner did not think about himself. He only thought about validating the Fa and telling the police that they were wrong to persecute him and his wife. He wanted them to know the truth so that they could make the right choice and have a bright future.

The couple went to the substation. To their surprise, the building was as tiny as a matchbox. After a short while, the building transformed into its proper size and they went in. The officers saw them and became very uneasy. They told the couple that they had nothing to do with them and said they had to call their superior. The person who answered shouted, “Let them go! Hurry up! Tell them to never come back!”

The persecution faced by the practitioners was real, but with the strong righteous thoughts, it was just an illusion.

Master says,

“Even though the old forces do exist, if you don't have those thoughts they can't do anything. When your righteous thoughts are strong enough the old forces can't do a thing.” (“Teaching the Fa at the 2002 Fa Conference in Philadelphia, U.S.A.,” Collected Fa Teachings, Vol. II)

In fact, when Dafa practitioners’ righteous thoughts are strong, the evil ones are the most afraid of a knock on the door.
