(Minghui.org) May 13, 2021 is the 22nd World Falun Dafa Day and the 29th anniversary of Falun Dafa’s public introduction. Elected officials in Texas issued proclamations to mark the occasion.

Congressional Proclamation from Congressman Dan Crenshaw
The proclamation reads, “Falun Dafa and its founder Mr. Li Hongzhi have been spreading the values of improved health, a purified mind, an uplifted spirit, and a deeper understanding of life and humanity to people across the world.”
Proclamation from Mayor Bill Hastings of the City of Katy
The proclamation reads, “Falun Dafa is an ancient Chinese meditation practice based on the core principles of truthfulness, compassion, and tolerance.
“More than 100 million people in more than 100 countries practice Falun Dafa to deal with stress and anxiety through a set of tranquil exercises.
“People who practice Falun Dafa have experienced health benefits and have led more peaceful lives.”
Proclamation of Falun Dafa Day in the City of La Marque
The proclamation reads, “Falun Dafa practitioners’ determination and courage to stand up for Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance while facing severe persecution from the Chinese Communist Party has shown the world the value of life and the preciousness of human dignity.”
Background: What is Falun Dafa?
Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) was first introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in Changchun, China in 1992. The spiritual discipline is now practiced in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. Millions of people have embraced the teachings—which are based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance as well as five gentle exercises—and experienced uplifted health and well-being.
