(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners from the Franconia region of Bavaria, Germany, held activities in Nuremberg to introduce the spiritual practice to the public on June 3, 2021. They also exposed the Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) cruel persecution of the spiritual practice, which has gone on for more than 20 years. They collected signatures on a petition to condemn the persecution.

Practitioners held activities in Nuremberg on June 3, 2021 to raise awareness of the CCP’s persecution and collect signatures to end the brutality.

The weather was warm and the skies were clear as practitioners held their event in front of Lorenz Church in downtown Nuremberg, which is located in the heart of the city's business district. June 3rd is the Corpus Christi celebration for Christians in Bavaria. Due to the decline in the number of coronavirus infections, the lockdown restrictions were recently relaxed. Most cafes and restaurants were open and an endless stream of people passed in front of the practitioners' booth that day.

Practitioners demonstrated the exercises, and many passersby paused to watch and take in the peaceful meditation music. People were shocked to learn of the CCP’s brutal persecution and many signed the petition against the persecution.

Two tourists learn the exercises at the Falun Dafa booth on June 3.

Two tourists from Uzbekistan stopped and watch the practitioners' exercise demonstration for a long time. One of them said, “This practice is great! How much does it cost learn it?”

When they learned that Falun Dafa was taught free of charge, they were happy to learn the exercises right away. Afterwards, they both repeatedly thanked the practitioners before leaving happily.

Three young girls from Fürth (the city closest to Nuremberg) went directly to the stand. One of them asked, “We are under eighteen years old. Can we also sign?” When the practitioners told them that it was fine, the girls solemnly signed the petition.

Background

Falun Dafa also known as Falun Gong, was introduced to the public in 1992 by Mr. Li Hongzhi. Nearly 100 million people across China were soon practicing Falun Dafa after experiencing improvements in their health and character. Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), perceived the spiritual discipline's growing popularity as a threat to the CCP's atheistic ideology and on July 20, 1999 issued an order to ban the practice and persecute practitioners.

Minghui.org has confirmed the deaths of thousands of Falun Dafa practitioners as a direct result of this persecution over the past 22 years; the actual number is suspected to be much higher. More have been imprisoned and tortured for their faith.

There is concrete evidence that the CCP sanctions the harvesting of organs from detained practitioners, who are murdered to supply the organ transplant industry.

Under Jiang's personal direction, the CCP established the 610 Office, an extralegal security organization with the power to override the police and judicial systems and whose sole function is to carry out the persecution of Falun Dafa and practitioners.
