(Minghui.org) Starting early this year, my top leg would slip down soon after I began meditating in the full lotus position. I looked within to see if I had some attachments to get rid of. But the situation did not improve, so I tied my leg with a pant leg to prevent it from slipping during the meditation.

I read a practitioner’s sharing article on minghui.org a couple of weeks ago, that warned practitioners to not use WeChat or other Chinese apps. I deleted WeChat and Alipay from my phone but kept Taobao, which I ignorantly thought was okay and was unwilling to delete.

I used some chat software to communicate with my daughter, who lived far away. When it was blocked, I found a replacement app. Then I felt uneasy and decided to just call directly or send text messages. But it was Taobao that I didn’t want to give up. However, I deleted Taobao immediately after reading the practitioner’s article.

Later that morning, I forgot to tie my leg when I did the fifth exercise. When I finished meditating, I found my leg had stayed in place. The only thing I had done was delete Taobao. I didn’t expect that deleting the app would bring such results.

This incident told me: On the path of cultivation, whatever Master told us to do has its reasons. As a disciple, one needs to do what Master requires and not neglect anything.

Master said,

“True cultivation depends fully upon the cultivation of your heart. As long as you can cultivate and can continue your cultivation solidly and steadfastly, we will treat you as disciples. It would not do to not treat you this way.” (Lecture Three, Zhuan Falun)

What is “solidly and steadfastly?” I believe it means following Master’s requirements 100 percent in our actions without neglecting anything. I looked inward and found I had an attachment to being self-righteous and the self-interest of convenience. On the surface my leg was slipping; in reality, my cultivation was slipping.

Some practitioners around me still use WeChat. One said, “So be it. It is okay;” another said, “It's okay. We just use it among a few of our family members;” still another said, “My work requires it.” I thought they were being evasive and irresponsible in their own cultivation.

I believe that deleting WeChat was a part of cultivation. It indeed impacted me during the process.

My workplace uses WeChat to send notices and submit reports. After careful evaluation, I decided to follow the suggestion on Minghui and deleted WeChat. My manager criticized and chastised me. I didn’t say much but refused to restore the app no matter what he said. He stopped insisting that I use the app.

My company is a listed company. Later I was transferred to a smaller subsidiary, and I thought I wouldn’t have the WeChat problem. Unexpectedly, the manager asked everyone to report their health status via WeChat when we were at home during the CCP virus lockdown period.

I told her, “I don’t have WeChat.” She said in a pressing tone, “You have to use WeChat.” I did not argue with her, but said calmly, “I am sorry, but I cannot help. I cannot use WeChat.” After a pause, she said, “Forget it. Let’s wait until we are back on site.”

I am a branch head and need to contact many lines locally and around the area. There are many meetings, notifications, and work requirements to be communicated. It was indeed inconvenient without WeChat.

I went through a “WeChat discussion” every time my manager changed, but I managed to overcome it. Now my manager takes care of my WeChat communications for me.

Once, a district line manager came to inspect the worksite. He couldn’t believe I didn’t use WeChat. He asked, “Do you use it with your family?” “No,” I answered. He took my cell phone and saw that it didn’t have WeChat. He didn’t say anything else about it. The problem was resolved once my own heart was determined.

I want to share with fellow practitioners that we have to overcome any harsh treatment in our workplace because we cultivate Dafa.

Many practitioners are retired and stay home. How can one feel it is okay to continue using WeChat just for the convenience of communicating with family members when it is careless and risking the safety of our cultivation environment?

There are also some people who do not pay attention to safety when using their cell phones. Some elderly practitioners will talk about anything on the phone, such as so-and-so had not delivered Minghui Weekly to her yet. When someone reminded her that she needed to be careful, she said without shame, “It's okay. We have righteous thoughts and actions.”

Isn’t that being irrational? When one says things without discretion on the phone, how can we ensure the safety of those who risk their lives to do Dafa work? The situation in China is complicated. We need to pay attention to the safety of our fellow practitioners.
