(Minghui.org) The Art of Zhen Shan Ren (Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance) International Art Exhibition was held in the exhibition hall of Nordpark in Dusseldorf, the capital of North Rhine-Westphalia, from August 12-18, 2021.

Many visitors took photos of the artwork. Some visitors were moved to tears by the paintings that exposed the Chinese Communist Party's persecution of Falun Gong practitioners. Some visitors wanted to learn the Falun Gong spiritual practice. Others commented that the artworks show that Falun Gong practitioners have extraordinary strength and perseverance in their hearts. One visitor said the exhibition “Brings courage to all who are being persecuted in the world.”

A long table in the center of the exhibition hall displayed leaflets about the art exhibition, fliers introducing Falun Gong, and petition forms to stop the persecution of Falun Gong in China.

Visitors nearly filled the thick guestbook with comments during the first two days of the exhibition. Some of the comments read, “We want to express our gratitude,” “Thank you for such a detailed explanation,” “These paintings touched our hearts,” and “We will recall these pictures in our daily lives.”

The exhibition attracted many art lovers and regular citizens. A middle-aged man strolled around the hall for a long time. Later he said to a guide, “I am not an art enthusiast, however, I feel very peaceful and comfortable here.”

City Councilor: “Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance appeals to me very much”

Dusseldorf City Councilor Andrea Kraljic

Dusseldorf City Councilor Andrea Kraljic decided to come to the exhibition as soon as she received the invitation, because “the theme, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance, appeals to me very much.”

“Although I am not proficient in art, I can feel that every painting tells an emotion,” Kraljic said, “Some are sad, some are hopeful, and some are unyielding in their perseverance. Even laymen can feel it.”

She said the works show that Falun Gong practitioners “have extraordinary strength” in their hearts. No matter how the CCP persecutes them, it is impossible to shake their beliefs.

Visitor: “Brings courage to all the persecuted in the world”

An elderly man who had been riding his bicycle in Nordpark dropped in to view the art exhibition. He was shocked by the artwork. He later emailed the exhibition organizer and wrote that, “House Ransacked” impressed him the most.

“In sharp contrast with everything around him was the little boy in the front. He left everything behind, put the book [Zhuan Falun] on his chest, and looked towards the future with a positive and firm gaze. This boy can bring courage to all the persecuted in the world … I will remember what this little boy looks like and take him with me in my future journeys,” he wrote.

Friends Celina (right) and Angelika

Celina and Angelika have been friends for many years. They went to the exhibition together. They were shocked by the scenes depicted in the artworks, which they said were so amazing and beautiful.

The two carefully read the leaflet introducing Falun Gong. Celina also picked up a German version of  Zhuan Falunand sat down on a bench in the exhibition hall to read it. She asked a Falun Gong practitioner where she could learn the exercises, and said, “I see such beautiful paintings here. I think Falun Gong is amazing.”

Art Connoisseur: The works are incredibly good!

Terry worked in a criminal investigation department before retiring. His family used to own an art museum in Kleve during World War II. At the beginning of the exhibition, he said he viewed the works with the critical eyes of an art connoisseur, but after he viewed all of the works on display, he excitedly told practitioners: “The paintings are very good, they are great artworks!”

He explained his comment by pointing at a painting titled Gift. “Let’s look at this painting. I have a lot of respect for this kind of painting. I think this is one of the best. People can see how this little girl respects the old woman,” he said.
