(Minghui.org) My neighbor next door is the daughter-in-law of the city police department director.
Her daughter Coco is a good friend of my granddaughter Yaya. They often play together. Coco shares almost everything with Yaya. Her mother said, “Actually Coco barely shares her stuff. However, it’s a different story when she is with Yaya, whom she’s happy to share anything with. It’s unbelievable.”
One day when my neighbor saw me easily going up and down the folding ladders against the wall, she was very impressed, “Wow, your action doesn’t look like someone close to 70. My mother is much younger than you, but she dares not climb up the ladders.”
I proudly told her, “It’s because I practice Falun Gong, a cultivation method for both mind and body.”
She was surprised, “Really? What about the self-immolation incident that happened in Tiananmen Square?”
I told her that after the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) started the persecution of Falun Gong in July 1999, it defamed Falun Gong and spread lies via all media channels, especially the self-immolation hoax on Tiananmen Square. The CCP staged the incident on January 23, 2001, the eve of the Chinese New Year, and claimed that some “Falun Gong practitioners” set themselves on fire when none of the self-immolators were practitioners. The horrific scene incited people’s hatred towards Falun Gong.
I explained to her in detail why it was staged. A slow-motion sequence of the self-immolation video showed that one of the women, Liu Chunling, was hit on the head with a metal bar, by a man wearing an army overcoat. The plastic Sprite bottle, in between the legs of another self-immolator Wang Jindong, allegedly to be filled with gasoline, remained intact in the flames. Neither Wang’s words nor his meditation position bore any resemblance to Falun Gong's teachings.
I also told my neighbor that Falun Gong has spread to over 100 countries in the world and urged her to quit the CCP for all the evil deeds it has done.
She listened to me carefully and said, “I believe you. You are such a nice person. Falun Gong must be good. You are the best truth that bespeaks Falun Gong.” She agreed to quit the CCP and its associated organizations.
My 95-year-old Mother
On the afternoon of August 20, 2022, my daughter-in-law drove the whole family to a mall. My 95-year-old mother also went with us. We bought her a pair of new shoes.
Then we went to a children’s store to buy clothes for my grandson. The store manager offered a stool for my mother to sit on while waiting. She praised my mother for having good health and a good spirit. She couldn’t believe that my mother was over 90. I told her that my mother recited the auspicious phrases “Falun Dafa is good; Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good” every day.
“Ah...” She seemed stunned.
I told her that my mother had two major open-heart surgeries for cholecystitis. She had also fallen many times and had cracks in her pelvis. The hospital would not operate on her because of her age. Thus she started to recite the phrases and recovered. She doesn’t need crutches. The store manager couldn’t stop wowing.
While my family was still picking out clothes, I continued to talk to the manager. I told her how brutal the persecution of Falun Gong is. She agreed to quit the CCP and happily accepted the amulet bearing Falun Gong messages that I gave her.
When we left, she enthusiastically walked us out of the store and said, “Please come over whenever you have time. You don’t have to buy anything. I really enjoyed talking with you.”
