(Minghui.org) Today’s news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 11 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 72 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Huaihua City, Hunan Province] Seven Practitioners Arrested and Their Homes Ransacked
More than ten officers from the Huaihua Railway Police Station broke into Ms. Li Faxiu’s home in Hecheng District around 8:00 a.m. on August 29, 2022. They ransacked the place and confiscated photos of Falun Gong’s founder, her Falun Gong books, and informational materials about Falun Gong.
Ms. Xue Baoyu rented a room at Ms. Li’s home. The police unlocked and searched her room. When Ms. Xue returned home, the police searched her purse and confiscated money printed with Falun Gong information. They also confiscated photos of Falun Gong’s founder, her Falun Gong books, USB flash drives, CDs of Falun Gong’s teachings, Minghui Weekly, an audio player, and a printer.
Ms. Chen Quanying, Wang Minghong (gender unknown), and a practitioner surnamed Jian (name and gender unknown) were present at that time and they were all taken to the Guangchang Police Station. Wang Minghong and Jian were released that day. Ms. Xue and Ms. Chen were detained overnight.
The police ransacked Ms. Tang Qingying’s home on August 29, 2022. They confiscated Ms. Tang’s personal belongings and more than two thousand yuan in paper bills printed with information about Falun Gong.
Ms. Yang Xiaohui, who was visiting Ms. Tang, was taken to the Chengnan Police Station. She was pressured to sign a guarantee statement renouncing Falun Gong. When she refused she was threatened and told she would be sentenced to three to seven years in prison. The police did not release her until 1:00 a.m. the following day.
2. [Nanchong City, Sichuan Province] Four Practitioners Arrested
Officers from the Xicheng Police Station in Shunqing District arrested four practitioners, including Mr. Zhang Jielin and Ms. Gao Zhijun, from their homes. They ransacked Mr. Zhang’s home and confiscated his Falun Gong books and other personal belongings.
The four practitioners were taken to the Xicheng Police Station and interrogated there. Mr. Zhang and Ms. Gao were transferred to Peng’an county. The other two practitioners were released the next day. Mr. Zhang returned home as he failed the physical examination. Ms. Gao has been held since then.
3. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Ms. Song Wenrong Arrested
Ms. Song Wenrong, from Wenquan Town, Huancui District, was arrested by officers from the Wenquan Police Station when she talked to people about Falun Gong at a market on September 19, 2022. Further information is pending.
4. [Heyuan City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Qiu Denong Arrested and Her Home Ransacked
A group of officers arrested Ms. Qiu Denong from her rental home in Bailingtou Village, Yuancheng District, on September 20, 2022. They ransacked the place and confiscated one cell phone and an audio player. Mr. Qiu was taken to the local Police Department and interrogated there.
Two or three officers went to Ms. Qiu’s other rented place in Chuantang County and ransacked it. They confiscated all her Falun Gong books, cash, audio players, TV sets, and other personal belongings. Ms. Qiu was released after 8 p.m. that night.
5. [Zhanjiang City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Huang Heqing and Ms. Huang Hezhu Detained
Fifteen practitioners were arrested on the evening of September 8, 2022, while they read the Falun Gong teachings at a private residence. Ms. Huang Heqing and Ms. Huang Hezhu were transferred to the Suixi Detention Center.
6. [Suihua City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Bai Xijun and Ms. Li Arrested
Ms. Bai Xijun and Ms. Li (name unknown) were arrested on August 27, 2022 by officers from the Suihua Public Department and the 610 Office. Further information is pending.
7. [Tangshan City, Hebei Province] Several Practitioners Harassed
Officers from the Chengguan Police Station harassed Ms. Zhao Yanmin in mid-September. They pressured her to sign a statement renouncing Falun Gong. She refused. They harassed multiple practitioners on September 22, 2022, including Mr. Chuai Zhigang, Ms. Zhang Baozhen, Ms. Zhang Weizhi, and Ms. Fu Cuiyun.
Officers from the Jinchangyu Police Station harassed Mr. Chuai Zhiwu on September 22, 2022, and photographed him against his will.
8. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Qiuyu Harassed
Two officers from the Jiangguantun Police Station went to Ms. Zhang Qiuyu’s home on July 22, 2022. They attempted to collect her blood sample. She refused to cooperate.
9. [Hengshui City, Hebei Province] Ms. Tian Yanqin Harassed
Two officers from the Raoyang County Police Station went to Ms. Tian Yanqin’s store on September 19, 2022. She was not there. They photographed the two staff working in her store.
10. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms.Yang Liu Detained
Ms. Yang Liu was arrested at home on June 29, 2022. Her home was ransacked, and her computer and Falun Gong materials were confiscated.
Ms. Yang was detained at the Zhuhai Police Station for a month. She was officially arrested on July 29, 2022, and has held in the Pudong Detention Center in Jimo City since then.
11. [Deyang City, Sichuan Province] Li Lehui and Ms. Cai Shangyu Harassed
Officers from the Bajiaojing Town Police Station in Jingyang District harassed Li Lehui (gender unknown) and Ms. Cai Shangyu at their homes.
Ms. Cai was not home at that time, so the police pressured her husband to tell them where she was.
