(Minghui.org) Over 200,000 people filed complaints to the Supreme Court and the Supreme Procuratorate against Jiang Zemin in 2015 for persecuting Falun Dafa adherents. Rather than upholding justice, these organizations helped retaliate and arrest the practitioners who were suing Jiang. I was arrested on November 15, 2015 and detained for 15 days when the police rounded up practitioners in all parts of the city.
The detention center was crowded with Falun Dafa practitioners. We were determined that we would behave in an exemplary way. We spoke gently, were careful not to waste food, and voluntarily cleaned the cells and toilets. We recited “On Dafa” and poems from “Hong Yin” together after eating our meals. Other inmates listened quietly on the side as we recited. The inmates quit memberships in the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its youth organizations after listening to us tell them the facts about Falun Dafa, which contradicted the lies and propaganda that were used to justify the persecution of Falun Dafa.
I talked to a 60-year-old lady whose husband worked on the criminal investigation team of the police department. She was mistakenly arrested when the police rounded up Falun Dafa practitioners. They claimed that she was a leader among practitioners. The chief of the police department, who was her husband’s supervisor, ordered a search of her home.
She said with tears in her eyes, “I worked for the government, and now am retired. My husband has worked in the police department for over 30 years. The search was totally unexpected. I am not a Falun Dafa practitioner. I read Zhuan Falun on the web, and they used that as an excuse to arrest me.
She said, “This was a plot to frame us. They know that I am familiar with the law. The police came with a search warrant. They told my husband that I went online to Minghui.org. My husband wanted me to take care and assured me that he would get me back home.”
We told her that the evil Party always casts people aside after they have served a purpose. We also talked about the CCP’s killing history and its persecution of Falun Dafa. She said she would talk to her husband and urge him not to help the Party in the persecution.
She said, “I was taken to a small dark room when I was arrested. Lots of hard rubber batons hung on the wall. An auxiliary officer threatened me: ‘Tell us the truth. Otherwise we will beat you; the wounds won’t be visible.’ He pointed at the wall. I said harshly, ‘You are an auxiliary officer. I can tell. My husband has worked in the police department for over 30 years. He was an officer before you appeared. You are an officer today, but you may not be one tomorrow. Don’t you dare touch me!’ He was frightened, and did not hurt me.”
I learned why the cell walls were covered in soft leather from what she said. They were for torturing people. Auxiliary officers are not official employees. They are considered to be temporary workers. Lots of illegal activities are assigned to them. When the facility is scrutinized, the detention center just fires the auxiliary officers. The official workers engage in the torture activities only when they have to.
When we recited the Falun Dafa teachings and Master Li’s poems, she learned the teachings and recited along with us. She learned intently and quickly. We also taught her the fifth exercise, a sitting meditation. She could cross her legs in the full lotus position right away. She told us that she felt cold air flowing out of the back of her head when she meditated. We told her that it was Master Li cleansing her body. She told us the next day that her migraine headaches stopped, and her swollen foot was getting better.
She remembered everything she read. Once a practitioner asked her during a discussion, “Why doesn’t your gong increase with your practice?” She answered right away:
Master said,
“Without knowing the Fa at high levels, one cannot cultivate. Without cultivating one’s inner self and one’s xinxing, one cannot increase gong.” (Lecture One, Zhuan Falun)”
We were all stunned. She had memorized Zhuan Falun after only reading it on the internet. We realized how great her inborn quality must be.
Practitioners chatted about the CCP’s persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners. One practitioner was hung up and several of her teeth were knocked out when she was beaten, spattering blood on her clothes. However, she did not succumb to their efforts to get her to stop following Falun Dafa.
One day, the 60-year-old lady told us about a dream that she had the night before. Someone said near her ear, “Aren’t you scared? Do you still want to learn Falun Dafa? Why don't you try something else?” She opened her eyes and didn’t see anyone there. She thought to herself, “I want to learn Falun Dafa. I am not scared.” We told her it was Master testing her to see if she dared to learn Falun Dafa in the face of the brutal persecution by the CCP. She said, “I do dare.”
The warden arrived to conduct roll call every morning. One day he said, “Falun Gong practitioners raise your hands.” She raised her hand along with the other practitioners. We asked her afterwards, “Why did you raise your hand?” She said, “I was falsely arrested as a Falun Dafa practitioner, but now I really am one.”
The 15-day detention period was ending and we would soon be released. The lady said emotionally, “I don’t want to part from you guys. I’d rather stay here if we can study the Fa together every day.” I said, “This is not a place we should stay. It is for criminals. When you leave, ask a practitioner to find a copy of Zhuan Falun for you. You will find a better Fa-study environment.”
“Where can I find you?” she asked. I said, “We are from different cities. But you have the heart to cultivate, and Master will arrange it.” She nodded her head happily.
That was six years ago, but the scene is still vivid. I don't know where this lady is, but I believe she will follow the Falun Dafa teachings.
