(Minghui.org) When I went for a walk in a park, I stopped to tell people about Falun Dafa and saw an elderly man sitting on the park steps. He was pale and his eyes were dull.
I sat next to him, and we started to chat. He was 84 years old and in poor health. He believed that he would not live to see the coming year. I gave him an amulet that said, “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good.” I suggested that he recite the phrases sincerely so his health would recover. “Really?” he asked. I assured him, “It’s true. My health improved after I began to practice Falun Dafa and sincerely recited them.”
I asked if he’d heard about withdrawing from the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its youth organizations to ensure his safety. He asked for more information, and I explained, “We Chinese swore to fight for communism for the rest of our lives when we joined the CCP organizations. Communism did not bring us anything good. It created a corrupt society and has done many bad things. Its many campaigns have killed a lot of people. Those who associate with the CCP organizations will be implicated, but you can be saved by quitting.
“We met today so you could hear the truth. Can I help you withdraw?” He said, “Yes, I want to quit the CCP organizations,” and he gave me his name. When I told him he was saved, he said, “Young lady, let’s meet back here at two o’clock in the afternoon on the fifteenth day of January. If I am here, you will know I am still alive.” I agreed. “Deal,” I said and told him to cherish the amulet and make sure to sincerely recite “Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,” so his health would recover.
I kept the special rendezvous in mind, but the park was closed due to the epidemic. I did not go to the park thinking, he would not be there.
After the park reopened, I went the next day to clarify the facts about Falun Dafa, and there he was! He shook my hands excitedly, “Where were you? I came to the park to see you as promised, but I could not find you.” I replied, “I’m sorry, the park was closed due to the epidemic. I thought you wouldn’t come.”
The man said, “I wanted to tell you that the amulet you gave me helped. Every day I sincerely recite ‘Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,’ and my health has improved.”
He now looked healthy and had plenty of energy and a nice complexion. I told him that I was happy for him and relieved that his health had improved. He thanked me. I replied, “Don’t thank me. Thank Master Li, the founder of Falun Dafa. He is the one who saved your life.” He understood and said, “Thank you, Master Li.”
I was happy and relieved as I walked home. That amazing little amulet with the two auspicious phrases saved that man’s life. I knew this was Master's arrangement. Thank you, merciful Master!
