(Minghui.org) I had back pain on my left side since childhood. I could not stand straight or else it would trigger the pain. As time went on, my body was tilted to the right, and my left shoulder was higher than my right. My left arm had also been painful and numb.
When I did the Falun Dafa exercises, I always tried my best not to trigger my back pain. I thought my abnormality would rectify itself in Dafa.
Recently, when I was doing the Falun Dafa exercises one day, I accidentally relaxed my left arm. At that moment, I suddenly realized that I had never relaxed my left arm during the exercises since I took up Dafa more than two decades ago. I wasn’t even aware of my problem in the past because my focus was on avoiding triggering my left back pain. As such, I was always tilting to one side during the exercises and my left arm could not relax. Master told us to relax our bodies while exercising, but my fear of my back pain made my posture tilted for years.
Master taught us:
“At the core of Buddha Stretching a Thousand Arms is stretching of the body. This stretching unblocks areas where energy is congested...”
and
“This enables all of the meridians in a cultivator’s body to open up from the start.” (“Chapter II Illustrations and Explanations of the Exercise Movements,” The Great Way of Spiritual Perfection)
It was explained so clearly in the Fa, but I did not follow it. Because I was unable to relax my left arm, the energy couldn’t pass through. With blocked energy flow, my body could not fully transform into high energy matter. How could I not be “sick” with back pain?
Once I realized my problem, I stood straight, lowered my left shoulder, and strictly followed the instruction when I did the exercises. Now, most of my back pain has been alleviated. I feel so much better, comfortable and relaxed.
I hope fellow practitioners can learn from my mistake. When we suffer sickness karma, besides looking within, we might also check if our exercise movements are accurate.
