1. [Pingdu City, Shandong Province] Ms. Zhang Zuomei Faces Trial
Ms. Zhang Zuomei lives in Honglanzhong Village, Nancun Town. She received a call from the Huangdao District Court on September 23, 2022, and was told that she would be tried in the Jiaonan Litigation Service Center in Huangdao District at 2 p.m. on September 30, 2022. Ms. Zhang is currently on bail pending trial.
2. [Tianjin] Ms. Yang Jian Arrested
Ms. Yang Jian from Meichang Township, Wuqing District was arrested by officers from the Meichang Township Police Station on September 23, 2022. She was taken to the Wuqing District Detention Center on September 24, 2022.
Ms. Yang Jian was sentenced to prison twice. She spent five years in prison in 2011 and four years in 2017.
3. [Jilin City, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Shumei Arrested
Ms. Li Shumei was arrested at home on September 25, 2022. Her home was ransacked. The police confiscated two bags of Falun Gong books. It is unknown where Ms. Li is detained.
4. [Huaihua City, Hunan Province] Ms. Zhou Aihua Harassed
Six officers including Fan Yong from the Jingzhou County Police Department went to Ms. Zhou Aihua’s home at 9 a.m. on September 22, 2022. They confiscated three photos of Falun Gong’s founder. Ms. Zhou tried to stop them. Her left hand was scratched during the process.
5. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Harassed
Officers from the Xianggongzhuang Police Station in the Zhangqiu District went to 80-year-old Zhao Yuanjun’s home in Qilangyuan Village on September 14, 2022. They pressured the old couple to sign the guarantee statement. They refused.
Three officers from the No. 2 Police Station of Shuangshan in Zhangqiu District went to an elderly female practitioner’s home in Goutou Village on September 14, 2022. They immediately searched around upon entering the house and confiscated her Falun Gong books and a photo of Falun Gong’s founder from a cabinet.
6. [Fuyuan City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Yang Xiuhua Harassed
Ms. Yang Xiuhua, 77, was harassed at home by police around September 12, 2022. The officers took some photos and warned Ms. Yang not to practice Falun Gong anymore.
7. [Chongqing] Ms. Wang Aihua Arrested
Officers including Hou Songting from the Huixing Police Station in Yubei District went to Ms. Wang Aihua’s home on the morning of September 27, 2022. They smashed the door and forcefully entered the room. They confiscated her Falun Gong books, computer, etc. Ms. Wang was taken to the police station
8. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Mr. Gao Peng Detained
Mr. Gao Peng lives in Qiujiahe Village, Changle County. It was learned recently that Mr. Gao was transferred to the Shandong Province Prison.
9. [Yushu City, Jilin Province] Ms. Han Xiaozhen Harassed
Officers from the Zhengyang Police Station went to Ms. Han Xiaozhen’s home on September 21, 2022. They videotaped her without her permission.
10. [Lanzhou City, Gansu Province] Seven Practitioners Arrested
Seven practitioners were arrested on August 23, 2022. They are Mr. Li Wenming, Ms. Liu Juhua, Mr. He Yingguo, Ms. Chen Xuemei, Mr. Su Anzhou, Mr. Zhou Wei and Mr. Zhou's wife. Their homes were ransacked. Mr. Li Wenming’s landlord was also arrested at the same time. Mr. Li Wenming is still detained. The others were released five days later.
11. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Chu Zhanjuan’s Home Ransacked
Five officers from the Gaoxin District went to Ms. Chu Zhanjuan’s home on September 7, 2022. They searched it for more than two hours and confiscated many personal belongings. Ms. Chu was placed on bail pending trial. Her ID card was seized. She was not allowed to leave the city.
12. [Jinzhou City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Wang Guixia Arrested
Ms. Wang Guixia was reported to the police for talking about Falun Gong and was arrested by officers from the Shiqiaozi Police Station around 2 p.m. on September 25, 2022. Her home was ransacked and her Falun Gong books were confiscated. Ms. Wang was released on bail pending trial.
13. [Nanjing City, Jiangsu Province] Ms. Zhang Aidong Arrested
Ms. Zhang Aidong was arrested in July 2022.
14. [Shuangyashan City, Heilongjiang Province] Ms. Liu Chunxia Harassed
Three officers from the Wanjinshan Township Police Station went to Ms. Liu Chunxia’s home on September 20, 2022. They photographed her home.
15. [Huangshi City, Hubei Province] Ms. Huang Guilian’s Home Ransacked
Twelve people from the Zhan’aiyu Community, Xialu District went to Ms. Huang Guilian’s home around 8 a.m. on September 16, 2022. They searched her home and confiscated a photo of Falun Gong’s founder, Falun Gong's books, a computer, and other personal belongings.
16. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhang Huayu and Ms. Zhang Huayun Arrested
The police followed Ms. Zhang Huayu to her sister Ms. Zhang Huayu’s home at 7:40 a.m. on September 25, 2022. They ransacked it and confiscated her Falun Gong books. The two sisters were taken to the Zhengyang Police Station. Ms. Zhang Huayun was released at 2 p.m. due to her high blood pressure. Ms. Zhang Huayu was released at 8 p.m.
17. [Jining City, Shandong Province] More Than Ten Practitioners Tried in Court
About 35 practitioners including Li Hongxia, Chang Guifang, Wang Xuejun, Man Zhengyu, Chu Fuhua, Mi Jinying, Hou Chengfu, Zhu Xiujuan, Ma Hongliang, Xie Yugong, Wang Xiling, and Dalin, were arrested on October 28, 2021.
Over 10 practitioners including Mi Jinying were tried in the Rencheng District Court on June 21, 2022. Four more practitioners including Wang Xuejun and Ma Hongliang will be tried in September 2022.
18. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Zhao Bo Arrested
Zhao Bo was arrested by officers from the Shannan Police Station on the afternoon of September 21, 2022.
19. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Arrested
Three practitioners including Ms. Xiao Jian and Ms. Li Sumei were arrested on the evening of September 26, 2022. It was learned that more than ten police cars were dispatched to arrest Ms. Xiao Jian. Many printers were confiscated.
20. [Gaozhou City, Guangdong Province] Ms. Wu Youqing and Li Shuwei Arrested
Ms. Wu Youqing was arrested outside on the evening of September 26, 2022. Ms. Wu was subjected to three years of forced labor and sentenced to four years in prison.
Li Shuwei (gender unknown) was arrested in the workplace by several officers at 11 a.m. on September 27, 2022.
21. [Jiujiang City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Liu Huiping Arrested and Detained
Ms. Liu Huiping, 59, was arrested at home by a group of officers from the Lianxi District Police Department at noon on September 26, 2022. She was placed under 15-day detention and is detained in the Yujiahe Detention House.
