(Minghui.org) Practitioners peacefully rallied in front of the Chinese consulate in Los Angeles on December 13, 2022. They exposed the CCP’s (Chinese Communist Party) persecution of Falun Dafa, and called for an end to the atrocities against the peaceful meditation group, which have gone on for the past 23 years.
Practitioners peacefully rallied outside the Chinese consulate in Los Angeles to tell people about the ongoing persecution and to call for the human rights violations to end.
History Will Never Forget Jiang Zemin’s Sins
Li Youfu president of the Falun Dafa Association Western and South U.S. branch said in his speech, “Jiang Zemin committed a huge sin in launching the persecution of Falun Dafa that is based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion and Forbearance. He abused his power and used the most brutal means unprecedented in human history to eliminate and torture practitioners—including harvesting their organs—a form of evil never seen before on earth.
Wu Yingnian, spokesperson for Falun Dafa practitioners in Los Angeles calls on people from all walks of life to help stop the persecution of Falun Dafa.
Professor Wu Yingnian, spokesperson for Falun Dafa practitioners in Los Angeles said that after Jiang Zemin gave orders to ban Falun Gong in China on July 20, 1999, according to incomplete statistics on the Minghui website, in the CCP’s 23 year long persecution, at least 4876 Falun Gong practitioners were tortured to death. Many of them died after being brutally tortured while detained in brainwashing classes, labor camps and prisons. This is just the tip of the iceberg. Due to the CCP’s cover up we don’t know how many were killed. The numbers from organ harvesting is even more shocking. Tens of thousands of practitioners are missing throughout China.
Wu Yingnian said, “Although Jiang Zemin is dead, he started the persecution and took the lead in corruption, thereby destroying Chinese society’s morals. History will never forget his sins.
“December 10 is International Human Rights Day. On this occasion, we appeal to people from all walks of life to pay attention to the human rights abuse suffered by Falun Gong practitioners. Let’s stop this suppression together.
“We will hold all CCP officials accountable for their participation in the persecution.”
Personal Experience of Bloody Persecution
Ding Xiaoxia a teacher from Jilin Province, who was imprisoned for practicing Falun Dafa spoke at the rally. She said that she was repeatedly detained in labor camps and in the Jilin Province Women’s Prison. During her nine-year imprisonment, she was shocked with high voltage electric batons and subjected to other forms of brutal torture.
“I was locked up next to the torture cell. Every day and night I heard sparks from the electric batons. All along the corridor, one could smell burning flesh. I was also shocked with an electric baton, over ten thousand volts. Two guards used two batons, targeting my neck, underarms and other sensitive areas. Even now I shudder. My neck was burned. I was also tortured, including being tied to the tiger bench, drenched with cold water, slapped in the face, I was force-fed and more. When I was untied from the tiger bench I could barely walk. Two guards carried me back to my cell.
“The most terrible torture was when my wrists and ankles were tied with ropes and the ropes were pulled, stretching my limbs to the maximum. Like sharp knives, the ropes cut into my flesh and blood dripped from my arms and legs.” I was tied and stretched like that for 11 days. The wounds festered and no words can describe the pain. It was indeed like being tortured in hell.”

Dong Xinhua spoke at the rally and called for the release of her brother Dong Yiran who is still incarcerated in prison.
Dong Xinhua, a Falun Dafa practitioner who lives in Los Angeles, said she used to have a happy family. After the persecution began, her family was torn apart. Her older brother Dong Xinran was expelled from public duties and sent to brainwashing classes, mental hospitals, labor camps, and prisons. He was subjected to all kinds of torture. All of his front teeth were knocked out except for two. His chest and back were covered in burns from cigarettes. His arm was fractured while he was beaten. He was on the brink of death from harsh beatings and was injected with poison. He lost his memory and died.
Ms. Dong said her family members were arrested and sent to brainwashing class, one after another. “My mother passed away at the beginning of the persecution due to stress from the threats and pressure. My younger brother Dong Yiran was arrested again. He has been imprisoned for ten and a half years in total. He is now incarcerated in Shen Yang prison. He was subjected to sleep deprivation. He has been repeatedly hung up and beaten. His kidneys are now severely deteriorated from the brutal torture and his life is in danger.”
“On January 20, 2004, my younger brother was beaten all night while detained in the Nujiang police station in Shen Yang city. He was drenched with cold water outside in minus 28C (-18F) degree temperature. He was beaten with a leather belt. The belt broke into two as his torturers used too much strength to hit him. Every time he fell asleep, he would be slapped on the face. Consequently half his face was bruised and swollen.”
Organ Harvesting Is a Form of Evil Unprecedented in Human History
Dana Churchill representing Doctors Against Forced Organ Harvesting, Western U.S. branch, said in his speech at the rally, “It has been over two decades since the CCP started to steal organs from Falun Gong practitioners. This was ordered by Jiang Zemin and his orders are carried out in legal, police, transplant hospitals and other government departments. Consequently, countless practitioners have been horrendously murdered and this continues today.”
He said that the truth will be revealed one day. The CCP and Jiang Zemin will be tried in international courts for their crimes against humanity, genocide, and torture.
Stop Participating in the Persecution
Helen Li, chairman of the Quit the CCP, LA branch, said, “Jiang Zemin used his power to brutally suppress Falun Dafa and practitioners. This led to the degradation of moral values in society and is destroying Chinese people.”
“People hope to avert disasters and have good health. How to achieve this? Respect Falun Dafa and embrace Truthfulness, Compassion, Forbearance.”
“I warn those CCP officials who continue to take part in the persecution: repent and stop your evil ways or else you will be tortured in hell like Jiang Zemin.”
Background: What Is Falun Dafa and Why Is the CCP Persecuting It?
Falun Dafa (also known as Falun Gong) was first introduced to the public by Mr. Li Hongzhi in Changchun, China, in 1992. The spiritual discipline is now practiced in over 100 countries and regions worldwide. Millions of people who have embraced the teachings, which are based on the principles of Truthfulness, Compassion, and Forbearance, and have learned the five exercises, have experienced improved health and well-being.
Jiang Zemin, former head of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), perceived the spiritual discipline’s growing popularity as a threat to the CCP’s atheistic ideology and on July 20, 1999, he issued an order to eradicate the practice.
Under Jiang’s personal direction, the CCP established the 610 Office, an extralegal security organization with the power to override the police and judicial systems and whose sole function is to carry out the persecution of Falun Dafa.
Minghui.org has confirmed the deaths of thousands of practitioners as a result of the persecution over the past 23 years. The actual number is believed to be much higher. Countless practitioners have been imprisoned and tortured for their faith.
There is concrete evidence that the CCP sanctions the harvesting of organs from detained practitioners, who are murdered to supply China’s organ transplant industry.
