(Minghui.org) Master has told us,

“I’m not telling you whether you should get vaccinated or not, nor am I telling you how the contagion will affect you. Don’t go to the other extreme; all of that is human attachment. What I want to tell you is you are assessing yourself with the mindset of an everyday person instead of looking at issues from the perspective of a cultivator; this is an omission in your cultivation.” (“Wake Up” (Team Blue Translation))

I recently gained some understanding of Master’s teaching above. After two recent incidents at my workplace, I learned to position myself well as a cultivator and not be stubborn.

I was notified that whoever was on duty in the radiology department should submit the operation data from our NMR machines through WeChat (social media) every day. I uninstalled WeChat from my cellphone a long time ago. I didn’t want to do anything that went against the requirements for Dafa practitioners or fail to do my job at work. If I was like I had been in the past, I would have put it off as long as I could and then argue against this requirement. But it would be untruthful to use excuses. “What a trap! I can’t fall,” I thought.

I decided to face it as a cultivator. The bottom line for a cultivator is to be a good person. A good person shouldn’t exceed what’s proper, which would make other people think we are weird. After letting go of my attachments, I decided to follow the natural course with wisdom. I planned to install WeChat on an old cellphone without a SIM card. I could submit the data through WeChat using the WiFi at our workplace. After I made my plan, our team leader changed her mind. Only the medical staff on daytime shifts would be required to submit the data. I was off the hook.

The second thing was about COVID tests. After COVID was found in our city, medical workers were required to have daily COVID tests and report the results. I knew that it was a formality that the authorities had set up to fool people, but cultivators should follow cultivators’ criteria. The reason I do the COVID tests wasn’t that I was afraid, but because I wanted to conform to the state of ordinary human society.

After I made an adjustment to the correct mindset and got ready for a test the next morning, things changed again. We were told to stay at home the following day. All of the nurses were relocated to different communities to help with COVID tests. For the following months, I continued to go to work as usual and only had to do one COVID test.

The experiences above told me that things will change after I let go of my attachments. We cultivators shouldn’t be stubborn like everyday people. We ought to correct our mindsets and let go of our attachments. Master has told us to do things rationally and calmly. Our notions only reflect our human thoughts and may not be correct. If we resort to arguing, complaining, or any other extreme methods, it could stir up trouble and create a backlash.

A fellow practitioner lives in a community that requires daily COVID tests. He refused to go. His daughter couldn’t understand him, and they argued. In my opinion, we aren’t able to deny any interference that the old forces consider was invited by us, and we shouldn’t stick to notions about doing whatever we wish. Some fellow practitioners refused to do COVID tests due to various other concerns, such as the fear of being identified.

We are Falun Dafa disciples first of all. We aren’t restricted by the principles at low levels and shouldn’t be interfered with by beings with lower xinxing levels. We only follow Master’s arrangements and Dafa's principles. Doing things in an open and dignified manner actually helps us break through human notions, especially fear. It also eliminates a lot of interference and disintegrates unrighteous factors.

“One good can overcome a hundred evils.” (The Third Talk, Zhuan Falun Translation Edition (Feb. 2003, North America))

Nothing is accidental. There is something for us to cultivate in every incident. We’ll find the correct answers as long as we look within.
