(Minghui.org) Both my husband and I retired from a state-owned enterprise. He is 68 this year. Although he doesn’t practice Falun Dafa, he supports me in practicing it and has always encouraged me.
After the Chinese communist regime ordered the persecution in 1999, I went to Beijing with fellow practitioners to speak out for Dafa. I was detained for over seven months. My second arrest came after I went to Beijing to appeal again. I was given one year in a forced labor camp.
During my detention, my husband went to the Domestic Security Office and the 610 Office many times to try to get me released. After I was released, he sometimes went with me to distribute truth-clarification materials.
I often host Fa study in my home. My fellow practitioners often said that he would be blessed for his kind heart.
Ulcerative Colitis Disappeared
In September 2018, my husband came down with a fever and had blood in his stool. He was hospitalized for five days, but his condition worsened. He was transferred to a bigger hospital and diagnosed with ulcerative colitis of the colon.
My husband was in the hospital for over three weeks. During the first 15 days, he had five or six bloody bowel movements five or six times a day. He continued to run a fever as high as 100°F. He fasted under the doctor’s orders, but his face remained rosy. Unlike others with the same condition, he did not have any pain when the doctor pressed on his abdomen nor did he ever feel bad. This was extraordinary. I knew that Master Li (Dafa’s founder) was taking care of him. I told him to sincerely recite “Falun Dafa is good.” He said he was doing it.
The doctor suggested he have surgery to remove his colon, but I insisted on conservative treatment, so the doctor only gave him some steroids. His fever finally came down after three weeks, and he was checked out of the hospital. He had lost some weight, but he still had a healthy complexion. That was a miracle!
Serious Cases of Pneumonia Cured
My husband started to run a fever and cough two months after he returned home. He was treated in the local hospital for a week but didn’t improve, so he was admitted to the bigger city hospital again.
They discovered that my husband had a serious case of pneumonia that could lead to respiratory failure. After a few days on medication, he got worse and had difficulty breathing. The attending doctor personally checked him over carefully and changed his medications every two or three days. He ran several tests on my husband ten days later, and the results were the same. On the 22nd day, the doctor told us to go home because he had used all kinds of medicines in the hospital, but couldn’t help him.
My husband could not eat at that time. All he could manage was a few sips of rice soup. I worried we couldn’t take good enough care of him at home, so I took him back to the local hospital. At least the doctors could help him if something went wrong.
In the hospital, he had unbearable abdominal pain and could not get up or turn over. He was diagnosed with kidney stones. His heartbeat was very rapid, and he had to have oxygen. The doctor still discharged him, saying that they could do nothing more for him.
My husband was on oxygen around the clock at home. He fell into a coma for some time and then came to for a while. When he was conscious, the pain in his abdomen was excruciating.
I said, “Since the hospital could not cure you, you should ask Master Li to please help you and listen to recordings of the Dafa lectures.”
My husband agreed. I played the tapes of Master’s lectures. He fell asleep as he listened. He continued to listen after he woke up. Amazingly, his pneumonia and kidney stones disappeared two or three days later. He could take a few mouthfuls of porridge at each meal, and his appetite improved little by little.
Two weeks later, he was able to sit up with support and breathe normally without oxygen. A few days later, he could walk to the bathroom holding onto the wall. A month after that, he could then walk by himself. This was the second time Master saved my husband.
My husband was so excited. He told everyone that Master saved his life. Our whole family was grateful to Master. My relatives and friends witnessed the miracle of Dafa again.
Master Saved My Husband Again
In May 2021, my husband started to have blood in his stool again. He was admitted to the county hospital this time because a reputable gastroenterologist at the hospital is a family friend. The doctor did a colonoscopy and saw that my husband again had ulcerative colitis. This time it was more serious than before. He had bloody bowel movements over 20 times a day. The doctor had him fast, giving him only small amounts of Ensure (a nutritional drink). He was very weak and could not get out of bed. His arms were swollen from all the IVs.
Eleven days later, the doctor discharged him and told him to take medicine at home. He threw up everything he ate, including the medicine and Ensure. He could only get down two sips of water at a time. He then became incontinent. He had no strength to turn over.
One of our relatives came to see my husband with an acupuncture doctor. The doctor said that my husband did not have clear acupoints for the needles to work, so he left. My husband’s younger brother, a Chinese medicine doctor, sent him some traditional Chinese medicines. But my husband threw them up, too.
I said to him, “You must sincerely recite ‘Falun Dafa is good, Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is good,’ and ask Master Li to save you. Our whole family will also recite the phrases for you as well.”
My husband recited it in a weak voice. He could only say it once before he lost his strength. I told him to continue reciting silently in his heart. I also played Master’s lectures to him every day.
Over 10 days later, my husband suddenly said clearly, “I want to drink some Ensure.”
From that day on, he was able to drink Ensure several times a day and then was able to eat rice cereal. Gradually, he could eat normal food. A month later, his bowel movements were normal, and there was no blood was in the stool. Master saved his life for the third time!
