(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 8 cities or counties in 6 provinces, where at least 21 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.

1. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Ms. Zhao Fenghui Detained

Officers from the local police station looked for Ms. Zhao Fenghui, around 50, in June 2022. The officers had her report to the police station in July. She went there but did not come home. She is being held in the No. 4 Detention Center. Further details are unknown.

2. [Xiaogan City, Hubei Province] Mr. Xu Zhangqing, His Wife, and Son Imprisoned

Mr. Xu Zhangqing, his wife, Ms. Tu Ailian, and his son, Mr. Xu Gaorui, were sentenced to more than seven years in prison. His daughter-in-law, Ms. Chen Chunyan, is taking care of his four-year-old granddaughter. Mr. Xu and his son are imprisoned in the fourth and third wards respectively in the Fanjiatai Prison in Shayang County. They are made to do forced labor. He wires earphones and his son sews clothes.

Ms. Tu is imprisoned in the Wuhan Women’s Prison. During her last three-minute long phone call with her sister, she asked about her granddaughter and daughter-in-law but did not say anything about herself.

3. [Changchun City, Jilin Province] Three Practitioners Detained, Visits Denied

Ms. Xu Yafen, Mr. Su Xiufu, and Ms. Yin Guiying of Nongan County were arrested by officers from the Changchun City Police Department, Nongan County Police Department, and the Helong Police Station at noon on August 24, 2022. The officers confiscated two boxes of their belongings. The officers seized their Falun Gong books, a picture of Falun Gong’s founder, and a computer from Ms. Xu’s home. They seized a computer from Mr. Su’s home.

The practitioners were given nucleic acid tests on August 28, then they were quarantined for 14 days. They are held in the Changchun City No. 2 Detention Center. Ms. Xu was formally arrested on September 7. Neither her family nor her attorney is allowed to visit her. Her family and attorney complained to the Changchun Judicial Bureau. The bureau did not take the case. They looked for case officer Li Derui in the Nongan Domestic Security Division. Li refused to meet them. They were told to contact the Dehui Court as the court took the case. The three institutes pointed fingers at each other but would not allow the practitioners’ families to visit them.

4. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Lyu Chunyu Imprisoned

Ms. Lyu Chunyu of Ershilibao Street, Jinpu District, is imprisoned in the 12th Ward, Shenyang Women’s Prison.

5. [Ningbo City, Zhejiang Province] Ms. Rong Yaping Detained

Ms. Rong Yaping is being held in the Beilun Detention Center.

6. [Zibo City, Shandong Province] Mr. Gao Hong Faces Trial

Mr. Gao Hong, who works at Qilu Petrochemical, was notified that the Zichuan Court scheduled his trial for November 18, 2022, at 10:00 a.m.

7. [Emeishan City, Sichuan Province] Practitioners Harassed

In the last half of June 2022 practitioners were harassed by people claiming they were from a special group from the Sichuan Province Political and Legal Affairs Committee. These people coerced, threatened, deceived, and tempted practitioners, to have them sign pre-printed three statements renouncing Falun Gong and to not talk to people about the persecution of Falun Gong or give people information about Falun Gong.

The following practitioners are known to have been harassed between June 23 to 30: Shen Guixiang, Xie Chunmei, Li Dongmei, Wang Ping, Chen Zhijun, Jiang Yueling, Pi Shurong, Liu Fengxia, and Yang Yuxiu.

Multiple practitioners were harassed or their homes were ransacked in August and September.

8. [Xinbin County, Liaoning Province] Mr. Wang Xiaoming’s Complaint Denied

Mr. Wang Xiaoming was wrongfully terminated from his office position by the Xinbin County Police Department in 2021. He filed complaints to the related government institutions. But they evaded their responsibilities. His complaint was never resolved.

In March 2022 he submitted a request for information disclosure to the Xinbin County government, asking staff to follow the normal procedure. The county government denied his request on March 29, citing “administrative organ internal affairs”. He submitted an administrative reconsideration request to the city government in May. The city government said it was not authorized to handle this and pushed it back to the county government. He complained to the Fushun City Procuratorate, which replied it was not in their jurisdiction.

He followed the request in the administrative reconsideration decision and filed an administrative complaint to the Qingyuan Court on July 19, 2022. He asked the court to hold a hearing on his Xinbin County government information disclosure case. He made multiple calls to follow his complaint in the following two months. But either his calls were not answered or he was told to wait. He applied for administrative complaint supervision at the Qingyuan Procuratorate in September 2022. He did not get a reply. He submitted an indictment for procuratorate supervision in November 2022. He did not get a reply.

On November 12, 2022 he received a decision from the Qingyuan County Court in the mail regarding his information disclosure complaint. The issue date was September 28. The decision said his case was dismissed since it was a termination dispute.

9. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Mr. Su Qinghua Missing

Mr. Su Qinghua is missing. He left Chengdu City in October 2021 to avoid persecution. In mid-October 2022, he posted his photo on social media when he was at the Chengdu to Chongqing highway service station. He said that if he was not reachable for several days, it meant that he was arrested by Domestic Security Division officers.
