1. [Heyuan City, Guangdong Province] Mr. Wang Boming Sentenced
Mr. Wang Boming of Lianping County was sentenced to three-and-a-half-years in prison in November 2021.
2. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Guo Peilu Sentenced
Ms. Guo Peilu was sentenced to three-years-and-four-months in prison and fined 20,000 yuan. She is being held in the Yaojia Detention Center. She has appealed.
3. [Gaomi City, Shandong Province] Shan Shan’s Family Harassed
Shan Shan’s mother received a harassing call from street office clerk Yuan Zhenji on January 27, 2022. Yuan demanded Shan’s phone number. Shan left home to avoid further persecution. Yuan and officer Yang have repeatedly harassed Shan’s family.
4. [Qingdao City, Shandong Province] Ms. Chen Yanhong Faces Indictment
Ms. Chen Yanhong was arrested and taken to the Shangma Police Station by officer Yu Zhongtao on November 29, 2021, after someone reported her for distributing Falun Gong flyers.
She was admitted to the Qingdao Detention Center on January 28, 2022. The case against her was submitted to the Chengyang District Procuratorate.
5. [Dongying City, Shandong Province] Practitioners Face Trial
The cases against Shenli Oil Field retirees Ms. Liu Yanmei, Mr. Geng Shoutian, Ms. He Boqing, and others were submitted to the Dongying District Court by the Dongying District Procuratorate in late January 2022.
The police departments under the Binhai Police Department arrested over twenty practitioners on April 23, 2021. Meng Yu, Chen Xiaohong, Guo Hongyan, Meng Fanyun, He Boqing, and Zhou Deyong have been detained. Mr. Geng, Ms. Liu, and Ms. Chen Guohua were released on bail. They hired attorneys and filed charges against the responsible persons in the Binhai Police Department Domestic Security Division and the Dongying District Procuratorate.
6. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Ms. Yang and Her Family Harassed
Ms. Yang’s husband received harassing calls from the Gulou Police Station on January 8 and 14, 2022. The officers went to their son’s school, the Liaocheng No. 4 Middle School, and got her new cell number from their son’s teacher. The officers called her and demanded a meeting. She refused.
7. [Chongqing] Ms. Duan Zaiying Faces Trial
Ms. Duan Zaiying, 72, was arrested by officers from the Longzhouwan Police Station and the Banan Police Department on April 19, 2021, after someone reported her for talking to people about the persecution of Falun Gong in the Longzhou Open Market. She has since been detained for over nine months, first in the Banan District Detention Center, then in the Jiulongpo District.
Her husband got a notification from the Jiulongpo District Court that she will be tried on February 14, 2022.
8. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Meng Yue Harassed
Ms. Meng Yue received a call from the Danan Police Station in the evening on February 28, 2022. The officer claimed that she was in a pandemic zone. They had a phone locator prove that. They were tracking the pandemic and demanded her current address. She did not comply.
