(Minghui.org) According to information collected by Minghui.org, nearly twenty Shanghai residents are currently detained in various local detention centers and prisons for upholding their faith in Falun Gong, which has been targeted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.
Below is detailed information about their detention locations.
1. Tilanqiao Prison
- Mr. Deng Chenglian, 51, was sentenced to four years. He is held in the eighth ward and scheduled to be released on March 22, 2022.
- Mr. Li Fujun, 56, was sentenced to two years and nine months. He is scheduled to be released on April 3, 2022.
- Mr. Liu Bo was sentenced to three years. He is held in the eighth ward and scheduled to be released on July 26, 2022.
- Mr. Tian Hui was sentenced to three years. He is held in the eighth ward and scheduled to be released on February 4, 2023.

2. Shanghai City Women’s Prison (Third Ward)
- Ms. Zhu Xiufeng was sentenced to two years and nine months. She is scheduled to be released on April 2, 2022.
- Ms. Yang Yaping was sentenced to six years and a half. She is scheduled to be released on August 19, 2022.
- Ms. Yao Guizhen was sentenced to four years and three months. She is scheduled to be released on July 24, 2023.

4. Xuhui District Detention Center
- Mr. Zhang Qin, 67, was sentenced to five years. He is scheduled to be released on April 23, 2023.
5. Pudong New District Detention Center
- Ms. Sun Zhuoying was sentenced to one year and six months. She is scheduled to be released on June 8, 2022.
6. Jing’an District Detention Center
-Ms. Gu Jihong was sentenced to one year and six months. She is scheduled to be released on August 24, 2022.
- Ms. Yang Manye was sentenced to two years. She is scheduled to be released on February 24, 2023.
7. Practitioners Facing Prosecution
- Mr. Xu Yongqing was arrested at Longquan Train Station on October 20, 2021, while traveling to his hometown in Longquan City, Zhejiang Province. He is held at the Longquan City Detention Center. It’s confirmed on January 25, 2022 that the police had submitted his case to the Longquan City Procuratorate.
- Ms. Chen Qinfang was arrested on December 23, 2021. She is held at the Jiading District Detention Center. Her case was approved on January 26, 2022.
- Mr. Pan Bijian was arrested on August 13, 2021. He is detained at the Yangpu District Lockup.
8. Other Cases
- Mr. Zhang Renfu went missing around mid-February 2022. His family suspects he was arrested.
- Ms. Lyu Tong was arrested at home on February 17, 2022. She is now detained incommunicado.
- Mr. Chen Weiqin and two other practitioners who went to visit him were arrested on January 4, 2022. Mr. Chen has been released. But the situation of the other two practitioners aren’t clear.
