(Minghui.org) A woman in Taihe County, Jiangxi Province, was sentenced on August 19, 2021, to four years and fined 10,000 yuan for practicing Falun Gong. Due to strict information censorship, we do not know if Ms. Luo Chunfang has been taken to the Jiangxi Province Women’s Prison.
Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, is a spiritual discipline that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.
Ms. Luo, 56, was arrested on April 6, 2021, for talking to people about Falun Gong. She was sentenced in the Ji’an Intermediate Court in August.
This is the second time that Ms. Luo has been sentenced for her faith. She was previously arrested on May 29, 2014, and sentenced to 3.5 years in Jiangxi Province Women’s Prison.
When Ms. Luo shouted “Falun Dafa is good” in the auditorium to protest the persecution on November 17, 2015, guards put her in solitary confinement and deprived her of sleep for seven days. The inmates assigned to monitor ran a toothbrush over her eyes if she closed them.
Another Falun Gong practitioner saw that Ms. Luo was hung up and fed unknown drugs on March 20, 2016, both in the early morning and late afternoon. One guard taped her mouth shut to prevent her from shouting. Prison instructor Huang Liping slapped her face with a shoe.
It’s reported that Ms. Luo was subjected to involuntary drug administration for a prolonged period of time. The guards did it right under the surveillance camera with no intention of hiding what they were doing.
