(Minghui.org) The boss at the restaurant I used to work at called me. He asked me to help with the kitchen for one day because another employee called in. I agreed.
I washed all the dishes. Then I noticed his wife was chopping a large pile of onions. I knew that the gas from the onions always made my eyes water, but I also reminded myself that I am a Falun Dafa practitioner and I should not run away from challenges. So I took over the onion chopping task.
A strong sulfuric smell surrounded me and my eyes began to water. I held it back and began to recite the poem “Benevolent Might” from Hong Yin repeatedly. Ten minutes passed, and I suddenly realized that my eyes were dry. I drew a few breaths, but I couldn’t smell the onions. I was energized and chopped more onions until the boss’s wife told me that there was enough.
I liked to recite Hong Yin when I worked part-time at the restaurant before. The environment of a restaurant was noisy and time was fragmented. I worked briskly, but I didn’t feel tired at all. I was over 60 years old and I could run the halls like the young people. I also did jobs some young people didn’t want to do, like cleaning the toilet or when a guest spilled something, so I developed the habit of reciting Hong Yin.
This time I experienced the power of “Benevolent Might” again. I wish more people could abandon atheism and experience the compassion and mighty power of Falun Dafa and Master Li.
