(Minghui.org) Falun Dafa practitioners in Las Vegas, Nevada held activities in Desert Breeze Park, on May 7, 2022. They celebrated World Falun Dafa Day, the 30th anniversary of Falun Dafa’s public introduction, as well as Master Li Hongzhi’s birthday. Governor Sisolak of Nevada issued a special recognition to Master Li in honor of World Falun Dafa Day.
The governor issued a Certificate of Recognition to Master Hongzhi Li, Falun dafa’s founder.
Governor Sisolak recognized Master Li “in honor of the 23rd Annual World Falun Dafa Day and the 30th Anniversary of the public introduction of Falun Dafa.” He wrote, “As Governor of the great State of Nevada, I congratulate you on your commitment to transcending cultural boundaries and for your contribution to create a healthier and a more harmonious society. I extend best wishes to all of you who gather to celebrate this important occasion.”

Celebration of World Falun Dafa Day
Christina brought a song and a peacock dance to the celebration. She said that she had been practicing Falun Dafa for four years, which brought her the joy of cultivation. She wants everyone to know how wonderful Falun Dafa is.
Kui, another practitioner, gave a waist drum dance. Kui made pretty lotus-flower decorations for the celebration. Kui and Christina worked together to make many paper lotus flowers with bookmarks stating “Falun Dafa is great! Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance is great!” The flowers were distributed to the public.
Local residents were fascinated by the performances. Some signed a petition calling for an end to the Chinese Communist Party’s persecution of Falun Dafa. Some Chinese people took the opportunity to quit Communist organizations that they had joined.
A local resident named Elizabeth found information about the group exercise site in Desert Breeze Park, and came to learn the exercises. She took some introduction flyers to help spread the word.
