(Minghui.org) I live in a rural town where there are hundreds of residential buildings. Our town was locked down after the COVID outbreak in Wuhan. It caused great interference for us practitioners, as it made it difficult to clarify the truth about the persecution to people. It was very difficult to get in and out of the area and buildings.
I discussed the situation with fellow practitioners, and we understood that Master wanted us to save more people. However, the intersections were blocked and so were the residential communities. There were few people on the roads, which made it difficult to talk to people in person.
We decided to distribute information door to door. With families being reunited during the Chinese New Year, more people would learn the truth about Falun Dafa if we distributed the truth-clarification materials on a large scale. We divided into two groups to cover two areas in the residential communities. Most practitioners in my area are around 60 to 70 years old, yet they climbed many flights of stairs to distribute the materials.
It took us around 20 days to cover the hundreds of buildings. The materials included information about the pandemic that we found on the Minghui website and a small card with a QR code effective to get around the Internet blockade. I was amazed by how we cooperated as one body.
This sudden disaster had a great impact on me. When I had just begun to go out to clarify the truth, I was kind of gloating. I started to resent those people who had not been willing to listen before the pandemic struck. One day while I was walking down an empty street, I felt very sad. I couldn’t stop my tears as I thought about the people in Wuhan who were caught up in this great disaster—and the epidemic was still spreading.
I decided to share my thoughts with fellow practitioners. We needed to form one body and resume our group Fa study. We should not be moved by the illusion and we should deny all the old forces’ arrangements. We should listen to Master, do the three things well, and save people
Persuading My Son’s Family to Go Home Early
Just as COVID was beginning to spread in China, my son and his wife and child came to celebrate Chinese New Year with me. He was worried about me going out to clarify the truth every day. I told him that I had been doing this for over 20 years, and I needed to do more now. I said, “Don’t be afraid. You already quit the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and sued Jiang Zemin. You are blessed, and this disaster won’t affect you. But if you are still worried, you should go home early.” So they returned home early. I understood that they were frightened.
Cooperating as a Whole
Another practitioner and I teamed up to distribute truth-clarification materials. She carried 100 copies, enough for 10 units. When she came downstairs, she told me that her legs were tired and shaking. I told her that I was out of breath after finishing two units and I felt as if I was about to collapse.
We felt it would be hard for us to get up to the sixth floor. We adjusted ourselves and recited Master’s Fa. By looking inward, we found that we needed to eliminate our human attachments to being unsteady and nervous. With Master’s strengthening, we were able to cover six units without taking a break after a few days. However, I was still far from the Fa’s requirement, as I hadn’t gotten rid of the human notion of being tired.
We first familiarized ourselves with the buildings, figuring out how many units were in each building and if any doors were locked. In the old buildings, some doors didn’t have doorknobs and we had to use narrow tape to put the materials on the door or on the wall next to the door. Doing this kind of homework beforehand, helped everything go well.
After a few days I felt exhausted both physically and mentally again, as if I had reached my limit. When I thought about climbing stairs, I was terrified. I even asked Master in my heart to send more practitioners to help. But I immediately knew I was wrong and told Master that I could do it.
Practitioner Hong lives in our area. He hadn’t read the Fa or done the exercises for more than two years. We asked him to study the Fa with us but he refused to. His wife Xiao Mei asked Hong to help us distribute materials. Although he hesitated at first, he finally did. He was very tired the first day, but the next day he said he felt so light he could take two stair steps at a time. He then asked for a copy of Zhuan Falun and began to read the Fa every day. Master is compassionate and gave him the opportunity to return to cultivation. Master helped him clean up the bad things and woke him up.
Practitioner Baohua overcame her fear and her husband’s resistance and joined us to distribute materials to residential buildings. Although her hands shook from exertion due to climbing stairs, she insisted on going out every day. During the process, she got rid of a lot of fear. We all viewed this as a cultivation opportunity.
Cuiling is 77 years old. After climbing stairs to distribute materials, she came home with tired legs and even had a hard time getting into bed. However, she persisted and said, “I will do as much as I can, as long as it can save people.”
Not Interfered with by False Appearances
Deng’s husband works in the government. He came home and told her, “You were reported to the police, and my superiors told me that they would arrest you because there are Dafa materials all over the place.” After I heard this, I wondered if I should keep going or if I should stop and go home to send righteous thoughts. At that moment, I reminded myself that Master had the final say. No one should interfere with us as we are saving people. I was not moved and nothing happened.
Hong and his wife and another practitioner and I went to a residential building to distribute materials. We agreed that Hong should start at one end and Xiao Mei would start at the other and then they would meet in the middle.
After Xiao Mei finished two units, she didn’t see Hong. She checked a few more units, but still didn’t see him. Then she saw a man making a phone call in the unit that had Hong visited. She heard the man say, “Get over here right away.” Xiao Mei wondered if Hong was reported to the police. She then realized that her thoughts were not right, so she sent righteous thoughts to deny it as it was just a false illusion. We later learned that Hong had gone to another building. Nothing happened.
