(Minghui.org) A fellow Falun Dafa practitioner, Lian, was harassed by the authorities a few months ago. She wanted to hire a lawyer to defend her rights, so she asked me to help her find one.
One of her family members was the Party secretary of an important Chinese Communist Party (CCP) office, and another was a financial executive there. They had quit the CCP but still did not fully understand the facts about the persecution. When Lian and her family went to meet the lawyer, she asked me to go with her to further explain the situation to them.
Before the meeting, Lian told me that the police found out that she was seeing a lawyer and had gone to her home. She said they might have monitored her phone. I hesitated, “I probably should not go then.” But she insisted that I help her talk with her family, “Saving lives is the most righteous thing to do.”
While chatting with her family, I brought up the topics of the current cosmic climate, world history, and science. I explained how the CCP destroyed traditional Chinese culture and peoples’ belief in gods, why heaven will eliminate the CCP, as well as the experiment “The Hidden Messages in Water” by Japanese doctor Masaru Emoto.
I tried to help them understand that the CCP destroys lives and Falun Dafa saves lives, and that people’s attitudes toward Dafa will determine their futures. At first, they resisted accepting this and even ridiculed me. But as I kept talking, they gradually came to understand why it was important to quit the CCP and its affiliated organizations.
Shortly afterward, the police called Lian’s family to check on their whereabouts. This proved that they had been monitoring their phones.
A few days later, an officer from the comprehensive management department of public security came to my door. He was surprised when I invited him in. Upon entering, he looked around and commented with a surprised expression, “Your home is very clean. Do you clean every day?” As a matter of fact, I do not clean my home often.
He said that Falun Dafa adherents are truthful, kind, and beautiful. I corrected him, “It is not beautiful, it is forbearing.” To explain, I talked about traditional Chinese culture, the implications of our nation’s great tolerance and perseverance, as opposed to the CCP’s violent nature. “Only when we follow Truthfulness-Compassion-Forbearance can the heavens and earth be in harmony. Otherwise, the gods are angry, humans are resentful, and families are in disharmony.” He said he agreed.
He then asked me whether I still practiced Falun Dafa. I asked, “Are you enforcing the Zero-out campaign?” He replied, “Have you heard about it?” But he did not talk about the topic further.
He said that he had been involved in persecuting Falun Dafa for six or seven years. I asked, “You have been in contact with practitioners for many years. Do you see anything in common among these people who are from different professions and social strata? Do they act like they are political?” He paused and said, “They are very kind, and are all good people.”
I said, “Cultivating Falun Dafa helps people regain traditional values like benevolence, righteousness, courtesy, wisdom, and trustworthiness. We learned how to be good people through cultivating the Fa. Dafa practitioners are the only people who continue to tell the truth even though they are under tremendous pressure. We have suffered persecution and defamation for more than 20 years, but have stayed broad-minded and resolute in our faith.”
I said to him, “There is an ancient saying, ‘Whoever beats monks and scolds Daoists will receive retribution.’” I asked him not to be involved in the Zero-out campaign any longer, and to stop persecuting Falun Dafa practitioners.
He then asked me if I had written the “three statements” before I was released from detention. I said, “I walked out of the detention center exclaiming ‘Falun Dafa is good’. While I was detained, I kept doing the exercises and adamantly proclaimed, “Heaven will eliminate the CCP, Quit the CCP for a safe future, and Falun Dafa is good!” I also told him that some police officers had quit the CCP, and that heaven will reward good people. Before he left, I said solemnly, “Never talk to me about the Zero-out campaign again.”
He again looked around and commented on the cleanliness of my home. I came to understand at the time that my thinking was righteous, which cleaned up the dimensional field in my home.
Afterward, I practiced the Falun Standing Stance exercise and saw a scene of lotus flowers appearing around me. As I lowered my hands to overlap them in front of my abdomen, I felt a huge world form around me, like the Buddha’s world described in an illustration in the book Hong Yin. I came to understand Master’s poem, “The Awakened,”
“Ordinary people know me not,I sit amidst Mystery;Where there is profit and desire, there I am not,After others pass away, only I remain.”(“The Awakened,” Hong Yin)
I then worried that my talk with the practitioner’s family, and the officer from the comprehensive management department of public security might have been recorded. But I realized that all of my words validated Falun Dafa. So the recording would benefit whoever heard it and help them better understand Dafa. The recording would also diminish the evil factors in other dimensions. I upheld my righteous thoughts and discarded my fear. I had nothing to fear—even if my talk had been recorded.
Below is a summary of my understandings from this experience.
1. Take situations as opportunities to cultivate, to distinguish divine thoughts from ordinary thoughts, and to make right choices.
2. Firmly believe in Dafa (the Great Law) and uphold strong righteous thoughts, especially when experiencing difficult situations.
3. Understand the importance of cultivation.
Master said,
“The other day I said that the Buddha-light illuminates everywhere and rectifies all abnormalities. In other words, the energy scattered from our bodies can rectify all abnormal conditions.” (Lecture Six, Zhuan Falun)
If we cultivate well, our strong energy will eliminate the bad factors in ordinary people’s dimensional fields, which will help them accept what we say.
4. Eliminate any thought that acknowledges the persecution
I remember that when I met with the lawyer and the practitioner’s family, they knew their phones were being monitored. When we talked about Falun Dafa and the persecution, they kept interrupting Lian. I understood they were trying to protect her by not letting her talk. So I ignored the interruptions and spoke without fear. They knew on some level that I came to help them obtain salvation. I was firm in my righteous thoughts and denied any thought of acknowledging the persecution.
