(Minghui.org) Eight Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province residents were arrested on the evening of June 26, 2022, for their faith in Falun Gong. One of them is still in custody under administrative detention.
Falun Gong, also known as Falun Dafa, is a mind-body practice that has been persecuted by the Chinese communist regime since 1999.
Over twenty plainclothes officers broke into Mr. Yan Yongquan’s home at around 8 p.m. They wore hats with lights and searched every corner of his home. The paintings he had on the wall with information about Falun Gong were torn down. His computer and other personal belongings were confiscated.
Around the same time, Mr. Zhao Sheng was also arrested at home. The police returned the next day with keys confiscated from him and took away his Falun Gong books, computer, and other items when no family member was present.
When the police arrested Mr. Cui Xijun, they scaled his fence by climbing a ladder. His home was ransacked as well.
The remaining five arrested practitioners are Ms. Feng Shuxiang and four others whose full names remain to be investigated, including Junju, Shengjiao, Huifang, and her bedridden mother-in-law.
Except for Mr. Cui who was put in administrative detention by the Nangong Police Station, the other seven practitioners have been released at the time of writing.
