(Minghui.org) Today's news from China includes incidents of persecution that took place in 14 cities or counties in 9 provinces, where at least 32 practitioners were recently persecuted for their belief.
1. [Nanyang City, Henan Province] Mr. Zhao Yuping and Ms. Chen Yujing Tried in Court

1. [Nanyang City, Henan Province] Mr. Zhao Yuping and Ms. Chen Yujing Tried in Court
Mr. Zhao Yuping, around 60, was arrested in June 2021. Ms. Chen Yujing, around 60, was arrested in September 2021 for distributing truth clarifying materials in Liaohepo Town. They were pressured to sign guarantee statements. They refused.
Mr. Zhao and Ms. Chen were tried in court in June 2022.
2. [Anshan City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Sun Lihua Faces Trial
Ms. Sun Lihua was arrested when she went to the Tiedong District Police Department to change her residential status on January 19, 2022. She was tried on the afternoon of May 26, 2022, but the session was adjourned due to lack of evidence. She will be tried again at 10 a.m. on July 8, 2022.
3. [Weihai City, Shandong Province] Mr. Ma Xiao Faces Trial
Mr. Ma Xiao lives in Rushankou Town, Rushan City. He was arrested on June 21, 2022, and is currently detained in Nanjin City. It is said that he will be tried in court on July 3, 2022.
4. [Weifang City, Shandong Province] Three Practitioners Persecuted
Shi Juntao and Xiaoliang were arrested by officers from the Fang’anjie Police Station around 5 a.m. on June 25, 2022. Shi Juntao’s home was ransacked.Mr. Wang Maoji was arrested by officers from the Jiulongjie Police Station and his home was ransacked. The police confiscated a printer and several Falun Gong books including three Zhuan Falun.
Mr. Wang Maoji was released later that day. Shi Juntao and Xiaoliang were taken to a brainwashing center in the Fangzi District on the morning of June 26, 2022.
5. [Ankang City, Shaanxi Province] Ms. Luo Changyun Arrested and Detained
Ms. Luo Changyun was reported to police for talking to people about Falun Gong and was arrested by officers from the Hanbin District in May 2022. She has been detained for more than a month since then.
6. [Liaocheng City, Shandong Province] Four Practitioners Arrested
Officers from the Jiangguantun Police Station in the Development Zone went to Wei Dianhong’s home in the Xintun Community on the afternoon of June 29, 2022. They arrested four practitioners including Wei Dianhong, Qin Jinrong, Ms. Xu Ruixia, and an elderly female practitioner. Their homes were ransacked. The elderly practitioner was released the next afternoon, on June 30, 2022. The other three practitioners were taken to the detention house in Liangshui Town, Dongchangfu District around 5 p.m. on July 1, 2022.
7. [Langfang City, Hebei Province] Mr. Wang Dezhen and Ms. Qi Yuxiang Arrested
Mr. Wang Dezhen and Ms. Qi Yuxiang from Jiuzhou Town in the Guangyang District were arrested in a market in Gu’an County by officers from the Chengdong Police Station on May 24, 2022. They were released the same day. Their car was confiscated.
The next day on May 25, 2022, a group of officers from the Tianqiaoxi Police Station in the Anci District went to Ms. Qi’s rented apartment in the Jiangnanshuijun Community and ransacked it.
Officers from the Tianqiaoxi Police Station, staff members from the Jiangnanshuijun Community, and the apartment owner went to Ms. Qi’s home again on June 8, 2022. Her home was ransacked again. She was pressured to move out of the community. Throughout the following days, they kept pressuring her to move out. Because Ms. Qi’s father-in-law was sick, the family delayed the move.
Mr. Wang Dezhen went to the Gu’anchengdong Police Station to ask for the family’s confiscated car on June 16, 2022. He was held and was formally arrested the next day. He was taken to the Gu’an County Detention Center on June 17, 2022.
8. [Fuzhou City, Fujian Province] Family of Three Arrested
Mr. Lin Dingguang, his wife Ms. Fan Juanping, and their youngest daughter were arrested by officers from the Chengfeng Police Station and the Chengguan Police Station around 7 a.m. on June 19, 2022. The couple’s home was ransacked. The police confiscated their Falun Gong books, a photo of Falun Gong’s founder, the lecture DVD, truth clarifying materials, an iPad, a cell phone, a wall calendar, and other items. The daughter’s laptop was also confiscated. The couple’s grandson who they were caring for, was questioned at his middle school.
Mr. Lin, his wife Ms. Fan and their daughter were detained at the Chengfeng Police Station. They were released around midnight.
9. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] Li Yang Arrested
Li Yang (gender unknown) from Zhongmou County was arrested on April 8, 2022, for distributing truth-clarifying materials. Xi Xudong, deputy of Zhongmou County Domestic Security Division, Sun Baoguo, deputy of the Dongfenglu Police Station, and Wang Fengzhi from the local police station, were involved in Li’s arrest. Li was released on bail pending trial the next day.
10. [Chengdu City, Sichuan Province] Ms. Zhou Cui Harassed
Ms. Zhou Cui from Xinfan Town in Xindu District was harassed by local town government officials in early 2022. They distributed her and her family members’ information, including their names, ID numbers, and phone numbers to local social media groups. They also made harassing calls to Ms. Zhou and their family members.
Ms. Zhou was taken to the Taixin Town Government in Xindu District by Xinfan Town officials on June 28, 2022. They pressured her to sign the guarantee statement. Ms. Zhou was held from 2 p.m. to 2 a.m. for about 12 hours. She refused to cooperate.
11. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Three Practitioners Harassed
Ms. Zheng Yanfen, Mr. Mi Yuan, and Ms. Wang Yulan, from Mancheng County, were harassed by local police officers on June 30, 2022. Ms. Zheng and Mr. Mi were taken away but were released that evening. Ms. Wang refused to go with the police. Some Falun Gong books were confiscated from Ms. Wang’s home.
12. [Daqing City, Heilongjiang Province] Three Practitioners Face Trial
Ms. Wang Luhua, Ms. Zhang Lihua and Ms. Han Lihua, were scheduled to be tried in the Ranghulu Court on July 1, 2022. They were not allowed to enter the courtroom because they had not taken nucleic acid tests. They were taken to the Longnan Hospital to have nucleic acid tests and to have physical examinations around 10 a.m. that day. Because of the examination results, they were denied admission by the No.2 Detention Center. They were allowed to go home around 11 p.m. that night.
13. [Baoding City, Hebei Province] Ms. Yin Shuhua Harassed
Ms. Yin Shuhua was harassed at home by two officers including Li Yang from the Chengguan Police Station in the Mancheng District around 8 p.m. on June 28, 2022. When they tried to videotape and photograph her, she stopped them.
14. [Xiangyang City, Hubei Province] Four Practitioners Harassed
Many practitioners were harassed by local police officers and staff from the local community offices on June 30, 2022. The police confiscated their Falun Gong books, truth-clarifying materials, and other personal belongings. Four of the practitioners who were harassed were: Zhang Guirong, Ms. Zhang Guizhi, Ms. Zhang Guihua, and Ms. Wang Yulian. These four practitioners were placed in detention for 15 days but were not executed for the time being.
15. [Yunmeng County, Hubei Province] Four Practitioners Harassed
Ms. Yuan Guirong was harassed at home at 5:40 p.m. on June 14, 2022. Director Li from the Xingfu Community led three officers to Ms. Yuan’s home and photographed her and her family members. Director Li went to her home again on June 29, 2022, and told her that she would be taken to a brainwashing center.
Ms. Chen Rongqing was harassed at home by two staff members from the Yunmeng Community at 11 a.m. on June 27, 2022. They told Ms. Chen that the police would come to her home the next afternoon.
Ms. Liu Qiaoyun was harassed by several people from the Jianxin Community one day in May 2022. They ordered her to not go out to distribute truth-clarifying materials. Ms. Liu was harassed again by three officers from the Chengguan Police Station on June 11, 2022. She was warned again not to go out otherwise she would be taken to a brainwashing center.
Mr. Zhang Jintao’s family was told that his case was submitted to the procuratorate and it would be closed in two months. They asked where he was and said that he had to report to the local community every day. Mr. Zhang left his home to avoid further persecution.
