1. [Fuzhou City, Fujian Province] Mr. Lin Dingguang, His Wife, and Their Daughter Arrested
Mr. Lin Dingguang, his wife Ms. Fan Juanming, and their daughter from Yongtai County were arrested on the morning of June 19, 2022. The couple’s grandson, who is in junior high school and whose schoolwork and daily life was supervised by his grandparents, has been left on his own. The family was already financially distressed and now their situation has worsened.
2. [Shenyang City, Liaoning Province] Fourteen Practitioners Face Trial
Fourteen practitioners will be tried in the Liaozhong District Court on June 29, 2022. The practitioners will be taken to the court from the Shenyang No. 1 Detention Center for on-site trials. The detention center requires that their lawyers must have lived in Liaoning Province in the past 30 days. The out-of-town lawyers hired by their family members cannot participate in their cases.
Among the 14 practitioners are Ms. Li Guizhi and Ms. Wang Yanjie from Xinmin City. The names of the other 12 are unknown.
3. [Yanbian Prefecture, Jilin Province] Ms. Li Jie Arrested
Officers from the Guangming Police Station in Helong City broke into Ms. Li Jie’s mother’s home on June 25, 2022, and arrested Ms. Li. The officers dragged her to the car and did not even allow her to put on her shoes. When Ms. Li’s mother asked the officers not to resort to violence, she was also threatened. Four other officers came to ransack the place. They rummaged through everything and left the home in shambles. The officers also went to Ms. Li’s home and ransacked it. They confiscated seven Falun Gong books, audio players, and several weekly publications.
Ms. Li has not yet returned home since her arrest, and her two young children need her care.
4. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Four Practitioners Arrested
Ms. Zhao Yufen from the Gaocheng District was arrested at her son’s home by officers from the Gangshang Town Police Station around 7 p.m. on June 26, 2022.
Zhao Sheng (gender unknown) from Beigao Village was arrested by Yan Yongquan from the Nanchai Village on June 26.
Female practitioner Ruifang from Guyi Village was arrested at 11 a.m. on June 27.
Shuxiang (gender unknown) from Langtou Village was reported to the police for talking to people about Falun Gong at a farmers’ market on June 27. Shuxiang was arrested.
5. [Jinan City, Shandong Province] Ms. Wang Congxiang Arrested
Elderly Ms. Wang Congxiang from the Dianliuzhuang Community was recorded by surveillance cameras when she distributed Falun Gong materials. She was arrested in March 2022. She was later released on bail. Her case was turned over to the procuratorate. Ms. Wang was arrested again on June 23. She has been officially placed under arrest.
6. [Beijing] Ms. Zhang Arrested
Ms. Zhang, about 60, was arrested by Dahongmen Police Station officers for posting Falun Gong materials in mid-June 2022. Her current situation is not clear.
7. [Handan City, Hebei Province] Mr. Qin Jianxue Displaced
Mr. Qin Jianxue was arrested by officers from the Congdong Police Station on the afternoon of June 17, 2022. The officers interrogated him all night and ransacked his home. They confiscated his cell phone and over 5,000 yuan in paper bills with information about Falun Gong written on them. The officers claimed that they played back surveillance videos from two months ago and determined that Mr. Qin distributed truth-clarification materials in Zhongyang Park.
On June 22, the officers called Mr. Qin’s wife to the police station to make a transcript. That same day, Mr. Qin was ordered to go to the police station himself, but he did not. Mr. Qin has left home to avoid further persecution.
8. [Changsha City, Hunan Province] Ms. Yao Peishan Faces Trial
Ms. Yao Peishan was scheduled to be tried in the No. 5 Courtroom of the Yuhua District Court at 10:10 a.m. on June 27, 2022.
9. [Gaomi City, Shandong Province] Mr. Du Gelin and His Wife Ms. Liu Honghong Arrested
Mr. Du Geling and his wife Ms. Liu Honghong were arrested at home by domestic security officers in Gaomi City on June 24, 2022. It is not clear where the couple is being held.
That same day, Li Lin (gender unknown) was also arrested by domestic security officers. Further information is pending.
10. [Beijing] Ms. Ma Xiuyun and Mr. Tang Pingshun Arrested
Ms. Ma Xiuyun and Mr. Tang Pingshun from the Chaoyang District were arrested by officers from Chaoyang District Domestic Security Division, members of the 610 Office, and officers from the Taiyanggong Police Station around 7 p.m. on June 9, 2022.
The officers ransacked their homes and confiscated several Falun Gong books, photos of the founder of Falun Gong, computers, and printers. Afterwards, the officers photographed the two practitioners and took them to get physical examinations. The practitioners refused to cooperate. The detention center refused to accept them due to the pandemic, and they were released on bail.
11. [Nancheng City, Jiangxi Province] Ms. Xiong Cuihuan Harassed
The police recently ransacked Ms. Xiong Cuihuan’s home in Changjiang Village, Maqiu Town, High-tech Zone. They confiscated truth-clarification materials, Falun Gong symbols displayed on the walls, and anything related to Falun Gong. Surveillance cameras have been installed in front of Ms. Xiong’s door to monitor anyone who enters or leaves.
12. [Shijiazhuang City, Hebei Province] Seven Practitioners Arrested
Seven practitioners were arrested and their homes were ransacked by Zanhuang County Domestic Security Division officers around 8 p.m. on June 28, 2022. The arrested practitioners are:
Ms. Shi Sujie from Chengguan Town was arrested at work and her home was ransacked.
Ms. Guo Zhumei and Ms. Chen Yaying from Chengguan Town were arrested at their homes. Their homes were ransacked.
Ms. Chen Erying from Raoyang Village in Chengguan Town was arrested at home. Her home was ransacked. She was taken home after she became ill.
Shuzi from Renjiadong Village in Yangze Township was arrested at her home in the county seat. The police ransacked her home in the village.
Suwei from Sanzhen Village in Xuting Township was arrested at home. Her home was ransacked.
An elderly female practitioner from Chengguan Town was not at home. When one of her relatives went to check on her, officers who were staked out nearby arrested the relative. The officers also ransacked the place. The relative was taken home at 3 p.m. the following day.
13. [Dalian City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Yu Shoufen Held in Detention Center
Ms. Yu Shoufen’s case been transferred to the Ganjingzi District Court. She is being held in the Yaojia Detention Center.
14. [Zhengzhou City, Henan Province] He Qingyun Arrested
He Qingyun (gender unknown) from the Jinshui District was arrested at home and taken to the Zhengzhou City No. 3 Detention Center around June 20, 2022. He was repeatedly harassed by officers from the Nanyang Road Police Station and the Jinshui District Procuratorate.
15. [Fushun City, Liaoning Province] Ms. Xu Yuzhi Tried
On the afternoon of June 16, 2022, Ms. Xu Yuzhi was tried for a second time in the No. 10 Court of the Fushun City Intermediate Court.
The Xinbin County Social Insurance Service Sub-center charged Ms. Xu with “unjust profiting.” The first trial was held in the No. 5 Court of the Shuncheng District Court Litigation Service Center on February 23, 2022.
The Shuncheng District Court disregarded laws and regulations, and issued a judgment on April 7, 2022. The court demanded that Ms. Xu return pension payments she received. She filed an appeal, and the Fushun City Intermediate Court held another hearing on the afternoon of June 16, 2022.
