(Minghui.org) In the recent sharing article “Reflecting on the Recent Arrests of Many Local Practitioners,” the author discussed issues that existed in his region that resulted in the group arrests. I feel that the problems he pointed out are quite common in many other places as well and we should all take them seriously.

In fact, many of the problems mentioned in the article were also my problems, which caused me to be arrested and sentenced. Only after a painful process of looking within, did I see my problems clearly and rectify myself.

I think the bottom line is whether we can handle the problems responsibly as a Dafa practitioner should. If we can truly be responsible for ourselves and fellow practitioners, we will be able to do things well.

Cellphone Security

On the issue of cellphone security, after the Minghui editorial board published the article, “What All Dafa Disciples Must Know,” in 2018, asking all practitioners to delete WeChat, many found all kinds of excuses not to do it. Some deleted WeChat, only to install other software with similar security issues.

If we looked at this specific requirement with human thinking, we would complain that it was unnecessary and inconvenient. But from the perspective of cultivation, there was the issue of safety of ourselves and other fellow practitioners amidst the ongoing persecution. Whether or not we followed the editorial notice to delete WeChat was a manifestation of our xinxing level and an indication of whether we were responsible for ourselves and fellow practitioners. Our attitude on this matter also reflected whether we treated ourselves as cultivators or ordinary people.

I used to use the excuses of “protecting my safety” and “I don’t know how to use computers” to justify my not browsing the Minghui website. I relied on other practitioners to print Master’s new lectures and practitioners’ sharing articles from the website for me. After I was released from prison and improved in my cultivation, also with tremendous help from Master, I learned how to access Minghui.

Looking Within

In the beginning of browsing sharing articles on Minghui, I often found myself at odds with articles that I didn’t agree with. I could find a million excuses not to read them, but only to see whether Master published new lectures or if there was a new editorial when I checked Minghui every day.

The same mindset also manifested in my Fa study, as I felt I never had the problems that Master pointed out that existed among practitioners, but I always took credit when Master praised practitioners.

In dealing with my husband, I also felt that I was always right and it’s all his fault. Only when our conflicts became so intense, did I finally remember to look within and admit that I was wrong unconditionally. One thought that helped me pass the test was that as my husband doesn’t practice Dafa, I knew I could not push him to the other side because of my own poor cultivation state.

With that thought, I made up my mind to look at my problems, but it was a painful process. Only then did I realize that it’s my human thinking and notion that made me resist fellow practitioners’ sharing articles and refuse to acknowledge the problems they pointed out.

I now had a deeper understanding of why on such a simple matter of cellphone security, some practitioners just couldn’t follow the requirement, as it’s never easy to identify our human hearts and cultivate them away.

I also realized that as long as we have the sincere heart to cultivate ourselves and be responsible for other practitioners and sentient beings, Master will help us and strengthen us.

Living in the environment full of the communist regime’s Party culture, some practitioners are influenced by the degeneracy to various extent. It’s hard for them to realize that they were messing around when they failed to take cultivation and Dafa’s requirements seriously.

From another perspective, when some practitioners kept neglecting the security issue, it could also be because they themselves hadn’t been directly affected, such as being arrested as a result of security loopholes. But wasn’t that strong selfishness? Shouldn’t we be concerned about other practitioners’ safety? If we can realize that, it wouldn’t be hard for us to know how to handle things related to security.

How seriously we take our cultivation, how much we care about the safety of other practitioners and how much we cherish sentient beings is also a reflection of how much we treasure Dafa and Dafa cultivation, which determines how well we cultivate ourselves and how righteously we walk our cultivation path.
